  • Tanto to start for me with Leaburn against 2 strong CBs. Campbell to come on against tired legs.

Sure I will come to regret it but I have a good feeling about this...

    2-0 Charlton ( Tanto & Carey)
  • Be nice if Kaminski made a difference in a positive way.
If I were Jones going into this match I would double down on the absolute requirement to keep a clean sheet, and hope that something turns up at the other end.
  • This is going to be our year. In fact, we're going to do the double over them. You heard it here first.

Do your worst Admin. I dare you!
  • 1-0 to us. Gillesphey to cement his cult hero status with another big goal
  • Just another gane we need to get points from.

  • We couldn’t beat them with Powell, we couldn’t beat them with Bowyer. We won’t beat them with Jones. Another tepid performance. 0-2
  • Has the Oak confirmed it's open for 10am again on Saturday?
  • Something about Jones makes me feel he will get us a draw.

However, first Millwall game I won't be in ground for since '96, so knowing my luck, we win again without me.

Thankfully, game is live on Thai tv with Sky Sports commentary, and looking forward to watching a game with @stonemuse for the first time this season.
A draw is an achievement? No thanks 3-0 Addicks!
  • Thankfully I'll be out all day for my kids birthday at Paulton Park. Unfortunately when we'll ultimately lose as usual my Millwall wife will end up ruining a lovely day out as a family, not watching us.

You make it sound like he hasn't made a difference yet this season, think that's harsh.
To be fair to him (and his defence), we have 2 cleans sheets from 4 games so far, and no one can blame him for the non-clean sheet versus Leicester. Everyone had a bad day at the office against QPR.

I suppose I think a goalkeeper making a difference means to me that you can point to something specific they have done that means the game was a success.
I am struggling to think of a Kaminski specific so far this season.

My first Charlton viewing in Bangkok!
  • Expecting a loss but would never want to miss  a win Even a draw. Should be a cracking atmosphere. i’m expecting them to be kettled at the end of the game.
  • The last time Charlton Athletic beat Millwall was 9 March 1996 at The Valley, where Charlton won 2-0.

    Almost thirty years of hurt
  • Very VERY hard to call .. they have injuries, we were very unconvincing at QPR, is our form on the slide or was that just a blip ? .. I m o Millwall were unfortunate v Wrexham, but lose they did.
Our goal drought must surely end soon, Saturday might just be the day.

We've had a week off, hopefully looking after minor injury niggles and/or (who knows) ironing out some tactical wrinkles.
A near capacity crowd should spur us on, so, I expect at least a point from this, hoping for three of course.
Whatever, I will be glued to the TV for what should be a proper blockbuster

Was that the year we did the double over them? I was at the home game win

In fairness, although we were far from our best, we were probably also unlucky to lose to QPR.

I think we lost because we were chasing a win

fair comment, BUT I have to disagree .. we were not unlucky to concede the 2nd and 3rd goals, both were down to terrible defending and it's not as if that our attack was all over them with just 3 shots on target, though QPR committed twice the number of fouls than we did

I think we deserved to lose but “very unconvincing” is also not accurate. We were probably the better side for about 60minutes of the game

This game has featured in my dreams twice in the last three nights.

    We lost both times
    Third time’s a charm!
I dreamed we were 1-0 up, but I woke up before the game finished, so we’ll never know.

I'd rather have been in a Division higher for ten (?) of those years.

Its not great still, but its "only" been seven seasons since our last win over them

    Not going then?
  • Don't know what all the fuss is about - just another game.
    Comfortable 3-0 home win.

    Nurse! NURSE!
  • Don’t want to give anyone any confidence but Millwall are missing 5 regular starters and also sold Tanganga on deadline day and to top it off their deadline day signings aren’t match fit yet statistically there is no better time to play them this season
It’s actually 7 regular starters if you include the ones who got injured at the end of last season.
You could just play 5 and still get a result

  • Got more and more nervous as the weeks gone on. Was pretty confident we could get something last week now even with the news they've got a few out I'm getting less and less confident.

    1-1
