Very VERY hard to call .. they have injuries, we were very unconvincing at QPR, is our form on the slide or was that just a blip ? .. I m o Millwall were unfortunate v Wrexham, but lose they did.
Our goal drought must surely end soon, Saturday might just be the day.

We've had a week off, hopefully looking after minor injury niggles and/or (who knows) ironing out some tactical wrinkles.
A near capacity crowd should spur us on, so, I expect at least a point from this, hoping for three of course.
Whatever, I will be glued to the TV for what should be a proper blockbuster
    Not going then?
sitting indoors with a busted, VERY painful knee .. just about able to go to and from the other rooms, so (to answer your ?) unfortunately .. NO  :'(

Mind that knee getting up cheering all those goals we score on Saturday mate.
  • I know, come 5 o'clock on Saturday, I'd wish I'd gone down my allotment.

Please Nathan, if you don't win another game this season.......................................

THAT would be pain that would be almost welcome Gary
  • Only ever beaten Millwall twelve times and we all know 13 is a superstitious number. The only time we have done the double over them is with someone who demonstrated the same passion as the Millwall crowd, Lee Bowyer, it's that passion that Charlton have lacked in years gone by and I remember walking away from the Den after another oh so near defeat and overhearing a senior Millwall fan declaring that 'Charlton play some lovely football but never have enough against us to get it over the line'. We now have someone with passion, in the shape of Nathan Jones, we know he won't take substandard performances or people hiding when the going gets tough, which is what is needed against this lot. I am with FA on the team selection, as I think Kelman will start, and on to another selection, lets hope we have a Referee who understands the game and doesn't think it's all about him. I'd be happy with a draw, deliriously happy with a win and it's great to be playing them again.
  • Gonna be lively for sure. I don't care how but we need to win. Leaburn with a glorious winner in front of the covered end....I can dream
  • 13th time on the 13th it's fate (I hope 🙏).
  • Only one result. They are winning away & can't see anything but them recording 3 in 3 away wins this season.

However, IF we are going to get anything from the game then we need to rest the players just back from International duty & play those that have presumably been working on stuff all week. So drop TC & play Tanto against his old team.

    0-3.
    Never in doubt.
Have you tried The Samaritans?  ;)

I'm absolutely buzzing for my boy to be walking out with the team in front of a close to capacity ground at The Valley, I can feel myself getting emotional about that by itself.  My dad is travelling up from Cornwall as well so it will be the first time we have three generations together watching a game.  For once I really don't care about the result.

BUT...everyone has something that happens in life or is going on that says "this will be the game", and this time it's me.

    2-1 victory.
I can still visualise you climbing over that fence / gate keeping us back at The New Den.

Don't know what all the fuss is about - just another game.
    Comfortable 3-0 home win.

    Nurse! NURSE!
Come now Bob, you are pretending as if your gentleman's gentleman won't be packing the heavy knuckles in his side pocket along with the studded hip flask in case of any inconvenience arising from the travelling fans on the walk back to the motor.

You are aware its an early kick off and that by 2.30 you'd wish you'd gone down the allotment and there's still plenty of light left so you still could?
  • Hoping for. 1-0 win, expecting a last minute equaliser or more likely a winner from them.

    Not big and not clever.

  • If we had a full team out I think we’d win comfortably. With the injuries I’m going for a tight 0-0 or 1-0 either way. I’d take a draw now if you offered it to me just to keep the run going. It has to end sometime but another year or so would be amusing. 😁
  • 2-1 leaburn winner and kelman
  • 1 - 0 Charlton
    John Hendry winner

Now, if we all took Palestine Action flags to the away game they're have to arrest us right ?  Might get away quicker that way...🤔

It's ok, Nabby's not playing in this one....😆
  • 0-0 I reckon.
Looking at Saturdays fixtures there seems to be a lot of London clubs fans in the city.
    Might just be a coincidence.
Think the boys and girls in blue might be a bit stretched on Saturday with all the demand on their resources.

Bit arrogant to think you will comfortably defeat a team that is as solid defensively as you lot?

Got more and more nervous as the weeks gone on. Was pretty confident we could get something last week now even with the news they've got a few out I'm getting less and less confident.

    1-1
Dont fall for it mate... both Leicester and QPR fans were convinced that we'd roll them over, given the state of their results prior to facing us, and we lost both matches.

Its like the Championship is turning into this meme with us!!

They could put their U18s out and have an outfield player in goal and they'd still get a result.

Surely it's got to end one day.....
If we win tomorrow, we might as well say Goodbye to everyone, as the apocalypse will surely be nigh!!
    Tomorrow  ??

Are we playing Friday night then ??

(See, this is what happens when the preview thread is put up too early. Friday lunchtime is ideal. Any earlier & people forget what day it the week it is).
If I didn't have a F/T job to worry about, and a seven year old Son to look after on my own a lot of the time, as my wife works 10-hour days... Along with everything else I like to get up to... I'd be a bit more rigid with writing Previews. Instead I do them when I can
Pathetic mate.  Your previews should be delivered in line with Golfie’s needs
yeah, how can you be so selfish, you know his watch hasn't got a date function

Because I think if we had a full team out we would have too much for you, whether you’re solid defensively or not. I could be wrong but that’s just my opinion. What’s arrogant about that?
  • Coming up to Bexley,  to look after the grandkids this weekend, but this is not the game to take a 4 year old and a six year old, even if I could get the tickets, so it is sky for me. Sorry, but I know I would probably get upset, and start shouting, and getting worked up.
After a better start to the season than I expected, things have not quite gone to plan, and the last two games especially we lacked an attacking forward in my  opinion. Hopefully  that will be addressed and we can give this lot a along overdue shock, and win.  What will probably happen is a draw, and me shouting at the tv set!
  • Worth noting that the Match Preview on their forum has only 2 pages. We’re up to 4 pages already.

More evidence that we are the bigger and better club and a moral victory ahead of Saturday.

Anyone would think they want it to kick off
  • This is the best I've seen since Hitler tried buying tickets 12 years ago

  • Another one here who is missing the game. Think we will be defensively tight enough to keep them out but can we nick one at the other end? Uncomfortable 1-0 win, Kelman in the 81st minute and a hero is born.

The way Kelman's career has started with fans, I wouldn't be surprised to see him emulate Tucudean.

Clear on goal in the 95th minute, with the score even, and wastes his opportunity.

Why would you say that lol.
I'm good pals with an O's fan and he's adamant that Kelman will play in the Premier League.
    🤞
