    Shaw needs to retire

he is a nowhere near Prem quality these days
  • Man Utd being average is a bit boring these days - They're just another mid-table Premier League club
If they carry on like this then one season their luck will run out and they'll go down.

    Hopefully.

Also Doku is absolutely ridiculously fast, standing start to full sprint in the blink of a an eye

Honestly they're playing suicidal football, such a high line with a lumbering back 3
  • Utd being outclassed..
If City were capable of taking their chances they could have declared by now.

And still won by an innings.

United aren't even good enough to be classed as "woeful".

It'll only be jammy refereeing decisions against relegation candidates that'll keep them up.

Surely Amorim has to go soon?

Who would they get in his place? Glasner? Someone like Xavi or Zidane? A random ex player?
  • Man U are currently Everton with a bigger fan base

His job is to win a Championship for the club.

He can get United to the Championship this year then next year he can have a proper crack at it ...
  •  Casemiro wearing gloves. Current temperature in Manchester 14 degrees
  • Look at the empty seats at the Emptihad.

2 mins from full time blowing and a chance to cheer their team off after an epic performance and the place is half empty. WTF?!

  • Man utd have definitely regressed under Ruben Amorim.  They are dreadful

They'll bring someone else in who's even more shit....and say they miss the days of Amorim.

It will continue to get worse for them and will be entertaining.

Carrick would be the most sensible choice or give it to giggsy

Zidane? Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole

With the financial restrictions on clubs, it is going to be very hard for United to build a top 2 team. They have wasted so much money.  The players they have on their books from Den  Haag have a negative resell value and few will bring in top dollar.

It looks like Man City have a bit of life in them again and maybe more of a fighting spirit.

They used to make it look easy when winning 4-0 /
     5-0 every week.

I'm surprised they've kept Amorim, I get giving him time but he's not improved anything and doesn't look like doing so either

I don't follow the PL much but every time I see him his body language and vibe is so very very negative. It's like he has given up and is waiting for the inevitable. Should have moved him on in the summer.  Glasner would do a good job there and would go.

It's obvious at this point, the main issue at United is not the manager, whoever it's been over the last few years. Not saying, any manager has actually done a decent job, but the club is a complete mess behind the scenes and they can continue to change managers constantly, but nothing will change while people above have no idea what they're doing.

In the past it was the players for sure, but currently i think Amorim has to shoulder a lot of the blame. He's been in charge for 31 league games and won 8. He refuses to move away from playing wing backs despite it being pretty clear he doesn't have the personnel to play it.

It's not as if playing with 3 centre backs is keeping them solid at the back either, they've only kept 6 clean sheets in those 31 games. It baffles me why he hasn't changed things because if he doesn't he's going to get sacked. At least go 433 for a couple of games with Bruno as the '10' instead of sat deep and see how it goes. I'm convinced it wouldn't be any worse.

Amorims inflexibility is what's ultimately going to get him the sack. I agree with Chris , one game with Bruno in his natural role as a 10 playing a 433 has to be worth a shot.

Then again such a pathetic derby display could be enough to get him the boot anyway.

    Dycheball anyone?

Christ that really would cement the look of an average mid-table side.

The irony is that Glasner plays the same 343 formation as Amorim.

Zidane won't take a club job now because it's expected he will take over from Deschamps when he steps down as France manager after the World Cup.

Not that I care about Liverpool being disadvantaged, but isn’t it a bit unusual for a team to have a 12.30 Saturday kick off after playing in Europe on the Wednesday night?
I thought the Wednesday night teams were generally moved to Sunday to allow recovery time, let alone playing the early kick off on Saturday.
I know it’ll be because TNT bid for the Merseyside derby, but it seems a bit of a short turnaround. I’m sure Arne Slot isn’t too happy about it.
    Hopefully Everton take advantage…

The Sunday thing is for games on a Thursday. I think they try to avoid the 12:30 KO if the Wednesday tie is away
