Still wouldn't be surprised if Ari Karvelas makes his way to Kent. We've brought in Dom Goodman and Tom Price from Gloucestershire for next season and the rest of the seam attack at Sussex are signed long term.

They will know all about him not just because he's played against us but also because he turned out for Kent 2s back in 2018 & 2019 and returned this season to play for Tunbridge Wells in the Kent League.

    Is he injured?
No , decent fitness record tbh , just out of favour and as AA has said someone well known to Kent.

The Oval must have its own microclimate, as they've managed 47 overs there today in the crucial clash, when there's been no play anywhere else.

No spinner chosen. An incredibly young team, Jaydn is one of the old hands now  :D

Garrett wasn't even named in the original 12 so there appears to have been a massive change of opinion regarding the surface, as much probably influenced by the fact that it won't be turning on the fourth day because there are, of course, only three.

Kent put Leics in and they are 111-2 (20.4) with wickets to Evison and Garrett

Sad to see the Oval England Allstars having a bit of a nightmare - from 101-1 to 129-6 with Burns (47), Sibley (14), Pope (11), Foakes (10) and Lawrence (0) all out.

Definitely going to be a result there.

Surrey 173 all out. Notts 11-1. You can safely say that bowlers are on top!

I haven't been following all of the play but do believe that Stewart might be injured (again). His fitness might have been another reason why we went in with no spinners.
  • 6 seamers does feel excessive. 7 if Curtiss bowls.

Cutiss has bowled and if Dawkins replaces Finch with the gloves then the latter can make it 8 seamers. Dawkins doesn't bowl, Jaydn is off with "flu like" symptoms and that leaves just Uncle Joe to bowl spin if required.

It’s going to lash down overnight tonight and early tomorrow morning. Our only hope of scraping a draw.

Great catch by Stewart off Evison to dismiss Cox for 93 (86)

Leics declare on 459-7 (84.1). We have a possible 18 overs to face today. With Compton and Jaydn out, we'll be going from two left handers to two right handers opening with one would think Ekansh joining Dawkins in that respect.
