I was answering a question as to why close a petrol station when you can pay by cash. One of your answers was, close the petrol station which was exactly my point.Radostanradical said:

Going through Heathrow today was fine for me, the quickest I've ever got through it! BA did have their backup system when boarding the plane, and we pushed back 30mins late but still made it on time.0

IT job market as a whole is poor right now. Lots of people out of work and companies tightening their belts. Best thing seems to be through contacts/networking seems to be the best way at the moment1

AI is, in fact, having an enormous impact on the IT industry, particularly in software development. Most places that would have taken on graduates, for instance, have either cut back drastically or completely cut their grad intake for the year. I work for one if the largest independent software vendors in Europe and we are taking a slightly different approach - embedding AI in the design and release process rather than using it as an opportunity to cut roles - but AI allows development houses to massively accelerate their release cycles. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that they'll use that as an opportunity to cut roles.BigRedEvil said:
