Jensen's late winner against Blackburn, which made Friedle's goal one of a very small number of goals that I'm happy to have seen Charlton concede.

Was that more the drama of the late winner, if you take the significance or importance out of it is it still memorable as something a bit special. Last nights was.

Bree's goal wasn't even that best we've scored against Derby.

    Danny Haynes has that title.
    Wasn’t Greenie’s better?

Was that the one where Powell started the move by the south east corner flag and in seconds was providing the cross from the north west corner flag for Hales to bury it?

That's not even in the top 2 Claus Jensen goals for us, let alone our best ever goals.

Callum Harriott against Watford was brilliant. Quite an important goal in us surviving that year from memory.

Was the op asking about a better team goal by Charlton than an individual strike?

You could make a case for how the ball boy’s quick reaction to get the ball back to the centre circle allowed for Claus to get a shot off in the time remaining.

*i actually think that the context did make that a great goal.

Was one away at Yeovil, think Danny Green scored a really late winner?

Nah the Stewart one I'm thinking of was a 25 yard volley at home

I was, my own best list was individual moments rather than being a great team move and most peoples seem to be the same or special goals because of circumstances making them memorable.

    Confession time.
I had a night up West planned with mates after the game.
When Friedel equalised late on I stormed out, part in disgust and part hoping to get an earlier train up town.
Got as far as the club shop to be greeted by a massive cheer for Jensen's winner.
Only the second time I left early but had a good night anyway.

You could try and make that case ....... but then I would just have to kill you!

Yes, I think most are missing this aspect of the question.

    Some brilliant ones already mentioned.

One of my favourites was Bent at home against Birmingham.

Looping pass from Bryan Hughes (I think), with Bent making big Melchiot look weak and slow.

Peter Garland v Bolton at The Valley always sticks in my mind as a thunderbolt into the top corner but it was about 400 years ago so if someone found the footage now it’s probably a 5 yard tap in.

I still think Bree’s goal is the best I’ve seen all round. Incredible team goal with one touch football from Kaminski’s kick, then an absolute rocket of a finish.

Jerome Thomas cross to Bent, properly whipped and curled it perfectly into his head, and we won 1-0, can't remember the opposition though.

JBG tackling a player about 40 yards out, retaining the ball and hammering it into the net, absolutely sublime.

Kermorgant delightful chip, might have been last game of the season?

Best goal I've seen scored against us was RVP Volley, similar technique to Bree last night, probably shinned it, but it absolutely flew into the top corner
Was going to say that one, here it is.

    Reza away to Leeds.

    Kim Grant away to Liverpool

Alex Dyer home to Bristol City (Selhurst)

    Mike Flanagan away to Brighton

It is pointless comparing a screamer or individual goal with a team goal. It all depends on what you look for. Bree's goal was a slick move involving five players and the finish was delightful. It has to be up there in the team goal category.

Bree’s goal was the best team goal in 49 years, since Killer’s v Hull in 1976. For me the 1976 goal was better. However what made Tuesdays goal was the awareness from Docherty.

Going back a bit, but our 4th goal in the 5-5 game at Bristol Rovers in 1978 was a superb team goal. Starting in our own penalty area, 6 passes including a header and two other first time passes leading to a tap in at the far post. It is on U-Tube.

I was fortunate to be at the game and at the far more prosaic 1-0 defeat in the cup a few months later.

    Virtually anything by Paul Mortimer

Colin Walsh scored a few specials as well
    Morts against Leeds
This. Took me a while to start celebrating as I couldn't quite comprehend what I'd just seen
