I think Kanu and Mbick have shown more than our current fit strikers so far this season.

    More pace, more goals.

Do I think they're ready for Championship football? No idea.

Do I think they need a loan that is more challenging in League 1? Maybe next season if we feel they're not ready to skip a level.

I have a sneaky suspicion they'll both get their chance.
I doubt they are ready for championship football but I don’t think either can do any worse than our current strikers in terms of goals

EFL trophy action tomorrow for Wimbledon, Plymouth, Northampton, Stevenage and Walsall with the latter two facing off against each other
An assist for Asiimwe in a 5-1 thrashing of Cardiff (Sasu with 4 out of the 5), Alex Mitchell seemed to play well after being subbed on at half time against the vile Leyton Orient, Ahadme came off the bench, Taylor played 90 for Northampton and Kanu was given the night off

Tommy Reid recalled. Sutton's keeper has returned from injury recently so no real surprise

Leave them out on loan and if we need strikers, loan them from clubs higher up than us to fill any gaps.

It's how it works 90% of the time and at the end of the day it'll do them more harm than good recalling them now to play under 21s football and the occasional appearance off the bench

AMB is not 3rd Keeper today. Looks like Hardy or MacLorg - hard to tell from North Upper. Could mean AMB has picked up an injury.

I know he isn’t often to be listened to but RM said AMB is going out on loan, I’m sceptical as would have to be non league but you never know
  • Its a shame that Reid's loan ended at Sutton, I know their first choice is back now, but he'd have had a TV game against Shrewsbury in the Cup today

Ollie Hobden was named in the Non League Paper team of the day. He and Toby Bower played the full 90 in a big 4-2 win over AFC Totton. Bower got an assist and Hobden seems to have been very solid defensivley

What are the FA Cup rules surrounding loan players against parent club?

After all we've allowed him to play in the FA Cup... So on that basis if we draw Walsall again, surely he's allowed to face us?

In English football you can't play against your parent club, I think it's silly personally

Ah so there are no rules anymore, that leave it up to the clubs to decide between themselves

It would be nonsense to have Kanu playing against us. It might be different for a Terry Taylor, who will never play for us again, but Kanu is still very much our player. How would be feel going in for a 50/50 challenge with one his mates likes Leaburn or TC?

Happens all the time in European competitions without issue. In my opinion, once you loan a player elsewhere they are that clubs player to use as they wish. We then have a recall option in January if we are unhappy

Pretty sure there is a way that an agreement can be made between the clubs. But I think it's based on when they are signing. I'm confident we had a player on loan who was given permission to play against his parent club many years back, early in to our Championship days following Prem relegation.
