The Meridian Ground promoted by CAST as alternative parking solution early last season, did anybody on here use this option & is it still available this season?

Iโm up at Woodlands Estate, the end/start of the 291 bus route. No shops or train stations in the vicinity and the only issues we have with roads round here are the shoddy pothole repairs which need redoing far too often. ยThat and the fact that TfL moved the bus stop and stuck it across the drop kerb I had paid for years earlier. I regularly have to tell the driver to take his break - on the shortest bus route in London - at the other end of his route!ยVery pleased that the backlash from this was actually listened to this time.7

I'd be really interested in how busy / full it is on Saturday0 -
Coming to the game tomorrow - seems impossible to find a map and other than โthe entire boroughโ and then later โapart from Plumstead and Shooters Hillโ I have no idea where parking is and isnโt allowed street by street, area by area.
Anyone aware of a clearly defined boundary?0 -
I think these are just proposals at the moment. I donโt think much will have changed since your last visit, as long as wasnโt donkeys years ago. Good luck.Callumcafc said:Coming to the game tomorrow - seems impossible to find a map and other than โthe entire boroughโ and then later โapart from Plumstead and Shooters Hillโ I have no idea where parking is and isnโt allowed street by street, area by area.

Is there any restrictions on Westmoor and Eastmoor street on match days?0

Greenwich Council had a map on there website before for the current CPZ that was introduced, should still be available as a PDF to downloadย https://parkingingreenwich.commonplace.is/en-GB/proposals/charlton-match-day-parking-restrictions/startCallumcafc said:Coming to the game tomorrow - seems impossible to find a map and other than โthe entire boroughโ and then later โapart from Plumstead and Shooters Hillโ I have no idea where parking is and isnโt allowed street by street, area by area.

Where would you normally park/like to park, if you've driven to The Valley before?Callumcafc said:Coming to the game tomorrow - seems impossible to find a map and other than โthe entire boroughโ and then later โapart from Plumstead and Shooters Hillโ I have no idea where parking is and isnโt allowed street by street, area by area.

I/we can probably direct you if we know what "area" is best for you.0 -
In the past usually weโve parked on Eastmoor / Westmoor or side streets and walked up from there. Didnโt know if that was still ok, if itโs outside the boundary but much busier now because people got forced out of other areas etc.Covered End said:

๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ! Breaking news tonight - Greenwich Council's so-called 'Sustainable Streets' parking charge proposals have been officially ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ for Blackheath, Kidbrooke, Charlton and West Thamesmead, with the previous u-turn for Shooters Hill and Plumstead also re-confirmed (Woolwich is the only area where these proposals will go ahead, for now) Well done to everyone who campaigned against these disastrous proposals. Greenwich Conservative councillors will continue to oppose all attempts to impose Controlled Parking Zones in areas where they're not needed. For now let's celebrate some good news to end the year16

Power to the people.
Now vote Labour out of Greenwich in May or they may be back to resurrect this scheme if they secure your vote.4 -
Ha ha Iโd like to take some credit for that. The petition only had about 100 signatures before I put it on CL & other sites and we got over 2,000 in the end.So parking in Charlton should remain the same for the foreseeable.11

So does this mean we can park in the designated boxes on the streets around The Valley now as we used to ย ?ย0

No, it means the scheme is not going to spread wider than it currently isยBedsaddick said:So does this mean we can park in the designated boxes on the streets around The Valley now as we used to ย ?ย2 -

So how has this result improved the potential for parking near the ground on match days?1
