    Crawley 9 (37)

101-1 in that session. Australia bowled well, these two have batted well.

England can be very pleased with that.

Following a really fascinating session, it's gone up from 101% to 102%. Thank goodness Golfie's asleep.

He scored 7 runs off the exact same shot in the previous over. Was looking in control, got too excited and gave the wicket away.

Aggers defending / understanding Brook’s shot selection is not something I expected.

    189-5

Stokes bowled by Lyon for 5. Unplayable

Don’t know how we get 250 more runs from here.

Aka thick as mince. Over a day left, absolutely no need to play such high risk shots.

The previous over he did it was against a part-time bowler in Head, his game management is abysmal

At the time, Head was the more dangerous bowler with 5-0-15-0 figures and Lyon was 10-0-49-0 looking easy to pick off.

I’m not even trying to defend Brook that much - I even said myself a couple minutes before the wicket that we needed a sensible hour. He could have handled it better and he paid with his wicket.

I just know what the reaction is going to be when people see “reverse sweep” when it’s one of his best and most productive shots.

It’s nothing to do with what shot he played and everything to do with continuously giving away cheap wickets.

Playing the reverse sweep in itself is not a problem as it is a genuinely good option against off spin. However, it was the wrong shot for a ball on that line, which then caused him to execute it terribly

    207-6 at stumps

    Jacks 11
    Smith 2

Such a shame to go 177-3 to 194-6 - England 30 odd for 3 in the last hour of play

Didn't expect this to make it to day 5! Can't see it lasting that long into Day 5 but it's something at least
