Oxford were very ordinary, but to be fair Brannagan is their captain and heartbeat and a big miss. If he had taken their late free kick, I imagine Kaminski would have been tested far more.

Didn't make it to the game so watched from home, I mean Spain. Thought the quality was mostly poor and against a slightly better team we wouldn't have got anything. Still, a wins a win and hopefully can push on again with injuries and some confidence returning.3

I'd happily take 2 draws or 1 win from the games at Norwich & Pompey. That would leave us in a reasonable position at the half way point, with 13 of 23 games left at home.6

Massive result.
I don't think it was the best advert for championship football for the majority of the game, but we had some great attacking spells and offered a lot more than a very poor Oxford side did.
Love Karoys last two performances, he's a lot better than Docherty and the beauty is, he's a lot younger so can hopefully only improve. Still raw, but so much better than what we were watching before.
Miles best game for us by a mile imo, real complete performance, except for a goal. Held it up well, was everywhere, and really fought the whole game. Felt like he won almost every header.
TC is far, far better coming on as a sub. He looks way more dangerous against tired defenders and I think that is his calling now. Leaburn and Kelman to start as I think they could be something with some time.
Overall a very enjoyable afternoon, beat Norwich and Pompey and we can probably start to imagine ourselves as a Championship side in 26/276 -

Do either TC or Apter have a starting role in that case? Neither are proper strikers or strong enough to be defensive wingbacks. Are they destined as makeweights to cover injuries? I cannot see a system which has them in their proper role, as wingers.
Football is a 16 player game now so both Campbell and Apter will get game time whether starters or game changers.
The business end of a game from 70 minutes on is as important as which 11 start.
Both Campbell and Apter will do their best work going forward obviously but they have to learn some defensive skills out of possession.
