    I've never seen Die Hard.
Maybe I should try it tomorrow.
Everyone says it's good but I'm not a fan of action films.
Not of lot action really, it all takes place in one building…
Just watched the trailer and he swings out of a window and back crashing through the glass, rolls down the stairs, multiple shootings etc. If that’s not an action film, I don’t know what is.

Anyway, it’s got absolutely nothing to do with Christmas, so should it be on the list?
    Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, WRONG.

The film version of Porridge is on bb2 at the moment. Not as good as the series which is normally the case when they make feature length versions of classic comedy series.
Anyway still has some good moments and worth watching. Richard Beckinsale who plays "Godber" passed away just a few months after the film was released.
Porridge and fathering Kate were the two best things Richard Beckinsale ever did.

Try not to watch the version where they overdubbed all the “motherfuckers” as “melon farmers”.

You missed out Dr Zvargo. Might be a tad long at just under 3 hours but great acting & great scenery. Could spend all day looking into Julie Christie's eyes.

I watched Doctor Zhivago in full for the first time ever yesterday, having seen bits and pieces of it over the years.
    Really enjoyed it.

It’s A Wonderful Life is the best Christmas movie ever made and will be recommended when it’s shown on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day .

You could say "once you know the ending" about literally any film. It's a great great story and the acting is brilliant. If you can't get invested in that then I guess that's fair enough, but to me it's a cinematic masterpiece.

Excitedly, when Folie a Deux came out, I wrangled a rare evening free to watch it back to back with the first film. Think it's the most disappointing film I've ever seen. A real "wtf".

I find all these films to be a bit old hat.

I remember the days when terrestrial television showed TV premiers at Christmas. Back to the Future, for example, was shown on Christmas Day which was the first opportunity to see it other than at the cinema. Nowadays you need to pay extra to see anything decent.
