  • Christmas dinner at Charlton on Saturday.
Missing the sprouts as I didn’t want them.
    Very tasty to be fair.
Although I wasn’t sure about the cauliflower cheese containing broccoli as well.

Sort of looks edible compared to the last plate of slop.

    Cheers mate. I try.
Tomorrows is probably gonna be a disappointment though.

Ok, I’m full of Xmas spirit and feeling generous, so @up_the_valley can keep his ‘almost summer’ started thread, but I’ve removed all the clog from the last week.

It can be a busy thread, so no filling with joke pics from the internet please. Let’s have a good range of good and average photos of plates of food in-front of you, and a healthy blend of compliments with savage comments too!

In Bavaria the main meal event happened last night .... a strange multi national concoction from Czech, Hungarian, Slovakian and German cooks .... therefore 3 types of potato salad !  All a bit weird.
  • Christmas breakfast: bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon, coffee and pink champagne!
    Merry Christmas to everyone.

     Nice bit of Denby Ware.

potatoes look good, as do the carrots.

Using a hammer and chisel to slice the Turkey is innovative.
  • Always a great thread. Don’t spare feelings. Call it as it is. Channel your inner Gordon Ramsey. Judge. It’s not just the food and the presentation, but the crockery, cutlery and table settings as well. Highlight humble brags where the mansion is accidentally included in soft focus. The correct terminology for ready salted crisps on a Danish plate is “FFS”. The same phrase is allowed for baked beans and / or sweetcorn. Praise good work.

Just done ours, but with scrambled eggs added to all the muffins, and pigs in blankets for those not loving salmon.

Looks edible enough, but not 100℅ sure where the food stops and the pattern on the plate starts.
