Mannion, Laqeratebua, Rankin-Costello, Bree, Coventry, Carey, Knibbs, Olaofe, Leaburn

Absolutely random I know and I'll get pelters for it, but that side on Boxing Day was disgraceful when it came to going forward and controlling midfield, so why not change pretty much all of them? This front 5 can't play much worse, let's be honest.

I hope he makes some changes too, but Docherty made our midfield worse, so hope he stays out.

Coventry really wasn't bad at all, it was Anderson that kept leaving massive gaps.
  • Have never seen us lose live at Pompey and hope tonight is not the first time it happens to me. We need the points. Right team selection and attitude from the off and we will sneak the win…

We have not lost in the last eight games at Fratton, of all the games in that run this is the most important we do not lose.

I just think Coventry for a few games now has looked tired and lagging behind the play. He's also the one in midfield that slows the tempo down and passes backwards too much, I'd like to see us try something different for a game or two

Looks like we're wearing the dreaded black kit again going by this graphic. Not sure why we wouldn't be in red for this one.

Now I don't mind this kit , but we've lost every time we've worn it and even the 2 times I wore the replica to games at the Valley,  we lost those too . I reckon it's jinxed . Why can't we play this one in red ?
    Contractual reasons.

We are more interested in picking up £250k in sponsorship money than the £10m we would get by still being in the Championship next season.

Golfie adds up 2+2 and comes up with 78.

Worrying times when the majority would be delighted with a point. Shows how awful we were against Norwich
Think its more dont lose and pompey closing the points gap.
The same will be said when we eventually play the home fixture, instead of both being must WIN matches. We've lost too many recently for us to be only picking up a single point instead of all 3.

But to win we need to score......and if they score we will need to score 2. From what I witnessed last Friday unless tactics & personnel change we will be coming home with Richard Osman in our pocket......pointless.

Difference being Bree is one of Jones’ boys.

Anyone drinking near Portsmouth & Southsea station before game?

He's just fine, just leave the set pieces to someone else for a while....

  • After Boxing Day I would take a 0-0 right now and be off up the A3 with it. Football is not like that and I think we might be in for a tough evening. First goal is crucial and I think we will get it and earn a point, 1-1.

Does Brees loan and Hernandez/Roussillons short term deals expire Jan 1st or end of Jan? Could be the last we see of Bree if so. Don't expect to see the other 2 involved.

If Ramsey isn’t fit - I would go Burke, Jones and Bell. Time for a rest for Macca for me..

I would also like to see JRC and Knibbs in the middle park with Cov.

Leaburn and Kelman paired.. would also start Campbell tonight, wide left, with Bell in the team, he can play higher, as Bell is much better than Macca so won’t have to get back as much..

  • If Ramsay's fit, I'd like to see him at RWB with Gough keeping his position in the back 3.

Anyone have any pre-match atmosphere pictures to post here for those of us craving it and not in attendance?

I like that midfield! JRC showed the other day that he can drive forward with the ball

Well, considering who we have next after this, I'd say this is a must win rather than a must not lose.

But despite that I would still take a point
  • Lose tonight, beat Coventry, is my guess.

I fancy us, two teams haven’t scored many, we can defend better and get a goal, 0-1
