Interesting that we’ve signed two players this week from teams in Scotland.
Is this a good sign? Whats the standard of women’s football up there?

It’s a sign we aren’t paying good wages. There are bargains to be found of course but it does feel a bit like doing it on the cheap

Wouldn’t have said centre back was a priority but then if Skeels and Mason aren’t anywhere close to coming back then it saves us having to put Newsham or Ross there if we’re short. Lobato has looked good since coming in but Pearse has injury history so an extra body back there makes sense. Still not sure what role Lockwood will play but either way we need a bit more in attack to make our play more fluent

What I've seen of the top division is pretty good, although not WSL1 level. Not sure if it's still the case, but I believe most of the clubs are only part-time.

Today's game postponed because of a frozen pitch.
  • Do they just not turn the under soil heating for the scheduled women's games at stadiums?

Was due to be played at Colchester not Portman Road so would be surprised if Colchester has under soil.

She is left footed and tall so maybe something different.

Elisha N'Dow has been good this season but her knees are strapped up for most games.

Only one WSL2 game is going ahead today (Nottingham Forest v Bristol City). Durham v Sunderland and Newcastle v Birmingham are both off. Southampton beat Portsmouth 4-0 yesterday, and Sheffield United v Crystal Palace is scheduled for tomorrow evening.
