Well said.Garrymanilow said:'Your support is fucking shit' sung at away fans on a Tuesday night who have come down from somewhere like Morecambe paying £30 for a ticket and either had to drive straight down after work and then back after or paid £80+ for a 3 hour+ train journey knowing they'll get back at ridiculous o'clock and have to go to work the next day. Oh, have they not filled out the Jimmy Seed stand? Bunch of plastics.
Shameful when our fans sing it.5 -
I love the TC song, only issue though is that he doesn't actually score many goals lol.4
-
I’ve never liked “you only sing when you’re winning”

Ahhh...warm your hearts with much loved old classics such as;
"You're gonna get your f***ing 'eads kicked in" (chorused by synchronised clapping)
"You're goin' 'ome in a red & white amubulance" (accompanied by synchronised pointing)
"You'll never make the station" (accompanied by synchronised pointing and hand-gestures)
"Kenny Achampong...kumbaya" (normally followed by a a bit of gentle laughter and bemused looks),2 -
St jons ambulance song is a blast from past.

Four time playoff winners, you'll never sing that....1

"Sing when you're winning. You only sing when you're winning."
The most stupid song going3 -
Anything about Keir Starmer /politics
pathetic10 -
Anything that's generic. Anything that attacks the opposition and its fans* rather than supporting our team. Especially, 'shall we sing a song for you', which invites the opposition to get behind their team. If they ain't singing, good!
*Unless there's a real rivalry and/or it's clever - so, that's none of ours.4 -
When the goalkeeper is taking a goal kick "wooooooaaaaaahhhhhhhh....... you're shit aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
So annoying.4 -

It's a great wind up, the camper the clawing the better.Plaaayer said:That Birmingham bollocks after every visiting teams substitution and that awful ‘Mauled by the tigers’, that Hull do.
Worst are chants about the opposition's support early in the game, especially in League 1, or just saying millllll.2 -
Last year a group of us (all Addicks and one Millwall) went to the Highlands to see Ross County v Hibs in the SPL. As we got approached the ground a group of Hibbees ultras where singing “we’re from the Capital, you’re from a shithole” at the Staggies (and us !)
Very amusing, but I think the irony was lost on them. Dingwall is a bit of a backwater and the pub we went into before the game was a khasi, but the scenery and surrounding area is stunning.

Even more so when the Aaaahhhh continues on for a few minutesup_the_valley said:When the goalkeeper is taking a goal kick "wooooooaaaaaahhhhhhhh....... you're shit aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Play up Pompey and When the Saints go Marching in.
It must be a South Coast thing!0 -

Depends, I like doing it when we're winning0 -
I've no problems with Play up Pompey, it's their traditional chant.ElfsborgAddick said:Play up Pompey and When the Saints go Marching in.

It's more cringey when we reply with "F**k off Pompey".2 -
I cringe so badly every time we go Fiiiiiiish when a f**king goldfish is on the screen. I was funny years ago, now I just think it makes us all look a bit special...5

tbf it is something to engage the crowd when the football is poor, and could be interpreted as a nood to our heridge (and Mark Fish).SE10Addick said:I cringe so badly every time we go Fiiiiiiish when a f**king goldfish is on the screen. I always thought Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea (or any team saying their name like that) chant makes them look a tad special 🤷🏼♂️0 -
Err, bit awkward.. we do that as well..JustFloydRoad said:

Who was it (a name please, does anyone know) that originally took McCartney's "Mull of Kintyre" song and changed it into VFR, brilliant, and it's not just the first line, no other team can use that, it's ours.
As I recall, I first heard it when we'd move to Selhurst. I didn't hear it the first season, the year we moved there (1985) when the Covered End lads stood in the Arthur Waite stand, I was there too but came from the East Terrace, but having got promoted dad and I celebrated by getting a season ticket in the main stand opposite, and that's when I first heard it coming from the Arthur Waite in 1986.
As I recall, it was the fans response to being moved to play at Selhurst, which was very unpopular.1 -

Valley Floyd Road and Red Red Robin.....is my favorite.Feels a bit of poor taste to be talking about such an iconic chant in a thread about annoying chants.0 -

Do Coventry fans actually chant Play Up Sky Blues?, or is it just a hashtag they use.0 -
From the 1960's.........
2/4/6/8 who do we appreciate?
2/4/6 and a quarter who are we about to slaughter?
Can't believe I used to sing that - what a sad old git I am!? If you listen really hard you might hear it again in the West Upper!1 -
cafc, we hate millwall - agree with sentiments but a complete wet lettuce of a song and anything that is sung whilst the red red robin is being played1
-
Really hate the " Na na nah " song sung every time we score , makes my toes curl .1
-
It’s part of their sing together chant, which is honestly up there with one of the worst in football but at least it’s unique I guess. Not sure if they just chant PUSB on its own tbhJustFloydRoad said:killerandflash said:

Play up Sky Blues!
Whilst we sing together,
We will never lose!
Tottenham or Chelsea, United or anyone,
They shan’t defeat us,
We’ll fight till the game is won.
