    That would compound our problems in that position massively. Absolute priority to get a LWB through the door, ideally before derby.

    If it’s true I’m really gutted for Josh because not only has he been the biggest miss to our team this season, he’s just a lovely fella and had shit luck.

    We had no cover for him at the start of the season. We moved Bell there and coped until he was out. It's the transfer window we have an opportunity to do something to sort it out, I hope we use that opportunity wisely.

    🗣️We need a LEFT footed LEFT back whether he's a wing back or just an attacking back similar to Wiggins or even a traditional LEFT back who mainly defends but can get forward on occasions.

    🗣️Whatever formation cafc play, we need a LEFT Footed LEFT back who can tackle with his LEFT foot and ideally cross the ball with his Left foot.

    🗣️This really isn't rocket science and I really hope this isn't true but if Josh Edwards is crocked for the season then the board and owners must back Phil Chapple is finding a bona fide LEFT footed LEFT back who is oven ready to play now, not by Easter when it may be too late. Obviously if this person is a LEFT footed wing back then no formation change is needed.

    I hope this post isn't ambiguous or too LEFT field.

    Oh gawd. If true we are proper in the shit.  That LWB issue needs sorting and fast.  As does the LCB issue.  We really need 3 new left sided defenders now! Not going to happen though

    Trouble is if it is true and it’s made public, it will be music to any other clubs ears that already know we are desperate for replacements, the prices will go up that little bit more.

    Why? They will say it when it suits. I am sure that Jones will mention it pre or most likely post match at Derby if true. We're not really in a need to know basis straight away.

    Feel for him though if it is true as he seems a real good character and after so long out to have to go again will be tough for him. He seems strong though. Hopefully he can bounce back.

    Jones is usually very coy over injuries, and I’d imagine will be even more in a transfer window to stop clubs driving prices up, knowing how desperate we are.

    Left back seems completely cursed for us. As soon as we find a good one they're either a loanee or if we find someone on a permanent they get some injury curse

    Absolutely gutting if Josh is out for the season and we might have to go and get the chequebook out for a permanent.

    There is no way the club is going to make that public in January, and put the value of any replacements up a few notches. Whether it is true or not, we still need a quality player on that left side, as there is a whole the size of Uluru in our squad that is having a cataclysmic effect on the balance of the whole team, especially if Jones continues with wing backs.

    Whether it’s LB/LWB we still don’t have anyone to play there, can’t risk Bell with a physical load at LB + Jones/Burke only ones who can play in a 4 at CB and Burke always injured

    How true this is or not will depend on how many LWB’s we bring in if we bring 1 Edwards will likely be fit at some point if we bring in 2 he’s definitely out for the seasons

    The amazing thing about Josh is that he didn’t turn up with a reputation of getting injured… I think he maybe missed one game in three years for Dunfermline?

    Unfortunately he missed eight games last season (miracle it was less than ten tbh given how bad the tackle was from Clare) and 19 and counting so far this season.

    Just shit luck as you say.
