    Buying them is one thing, but ongoing it must cost an absolute fortune to maintain them 
    For me it would depend on the quality / cost of the watch. 
    For my collection I only get the Tudor Pelagos serviced. For the others, I’d probably only get them looked at if/when they stop working.

    It’s weird. I was fully consumed by the integrated bracelet bubble over the last few years….but they bore me a bit now though tbh. 

    I’m liking more simple looking field / tool watches these days. 
    That being said, I’d love the money to be able to buy that VC.

    I put VC above PP and AP but I would choose the standard Overseas over the Historiques - and they are attainable at list!

    I agree on where they sit. I struggle generally with anything over 38mm though as I still have the wrists of a 12 year old!!

    Face is a slice from a 4.5 billion year old meteorite. The silver ring at 6 o'clock is kapton foil from the Apollo 11 comand module.

    I’ve never been into watches but am considering an Apple Watch mainly for health monitoring reasons. Not sure whether this meets with those that are enthusiastic about watches but wondering if anyone has one and whether its worth a punt?

    love mine, but getting a bit fed up with all the e-mails/messages and updates from my security cameras. Last week I forgot my wallet at the petrol station but thank gawd I could use apple pay on the watch. Battery life is a bit poor (need to recharge every day) but thats the only drawback. mines a Applewatch SE, so more modern (and more expensive ones) probably have a longer battery life. Plus it works with my hearing aide to make calls.

    I really like to look and feel of the HydroConquest GMT - but I think the legibility could be better. If I had my time again I’d probably get the black dial. 
    The 40mm Spirit Pilot in green is probably my most worn watch. I love the clean look of it and legibility is great. It’s also got the smoothest movement feel of all of my watches. I’m trying to decide on whether to get another one in black or dig a bit deeper for the IWC Pilot XX in black 🤔. 

    Generally I think that Longines are a fantastic brand with a wide selection of styles that are all fantastically well made for the money.

    I really want a Doxa, but struggling to find the right one. The ones I like are too big for my wrist, the ones that could fit I'm not too keen on. Proper summer holiday watch.

    Saw them a couple of weeks ago, but didn't try on. Look good but too flashy for me with the ceramic bezel. I prefer the aluminium bezel on my first gen Hydroconquest. Bracelet looks much better though.

    And settled on this, which arrived today a 1990 blue dial Rolex air king full set.
