FFS, lose tonight and we go to the Nou Den as a team of losers. Win tonight and both the team and fans go there as a team that’s on a 4 game unbeaten run in the league that’s got new players and players back from injury and everyone with belief in themselves. We should never sacrifice any game in the dumb belief the next one is more important. Winning and losing are both habits that set out the likely outcome for the next game. You don’t fuck around with that.
That's good enough for me, I'm in attendance tonight but couldn't get a ticket for Saturday so yeah let's get that win tonight.

I doubt Jones will pick the team with Saturday in mind. This is a better opportunity for the points. Not that we can't get something from Millwall but the focus will surely be on 3 points tomorrow.
He should definitely have one eye on Saturday knowing what it means - if he doesn’t then I’m entering it into the ‘games gone’ thread
I might be the only one here to say that we will just have to do what we can against Millwank on Saturday, tonight's game is more important and another 3 home points is eveything.
Us fans know and feel all the history but Jones will want 3 points at home tonight and Saturday to him is just the next (away) game and whoever is fit will play in that one.
He will not be saving anyone back just because its a local derby.
Strongest available team tonight for a winnable point or three!
No I am not a closet Spanner - just a thinking, cautious Addick who wants to stay up at all costs.

3 points tonight and our abject first half on Saturday will be forgotten. A nice little run will form as well. Keep looking upwards

Saturday could well be seen as a turning point in our season. We got a lot of overdue luck in our favour, two new players that looked very promising, players back from injury and quietly found ourselves extending an unbeaten run to 3 games. We can build on that.

2-1 win , Godden winner off the bench. Leaburn with the other. Agyemang for them to cause us a lot of problems and probably score.

All of the Brum comments I read on Dykes is that he is better coming on as a sub and not starting. So I would start Kelman and Leaburn. Carey in for Knibbs.

Just that shit show down the left side to sort out now.

Jones really needs to sort that centre midfield out tonight otherwise Ozoh will boss it for them.

    1-1

Unless theres a sending off or two for us in which case 2-0 and 3 points in the bag, get innnnnnnnnnnnn

    Not optimistic for this one.

We were absolutely honking at their place and got away with a point. They'll be coming here to get a win, not draw.

Derby are a weird side, complete mix of results against all types of teams, just beat Preston away and very recently Boro, so it shows they have the quality. They're just not a consistent side.

I would take a draw here, I don't see this as one of the winnable/favourable fixtures.

    1-1.
We were the better side for 70 minutes at Pride Park!

Apart from LB or LWB the midfield is my main concern.
It doesn't seem to make much difference how he changes things other sides still look far stronger.

I hate to say it but most of our midfield is league one standard playing in the championship.
Definitely needs addressing in the summer.

Loving the positivity of us winning 2-0 when we're the ones playing with 9 or 10 players!

Either that or we’re gonna lose 99-0

Forget tomorrow guys Linnington one of the all time top 3 worst refs we ever had is in charge .. EFL getting there own back after Saturday ..

    Take a point now …

    Team
    Kaminski
    Clarke
    Burke
    Jones
    Gillesphey
    Ramsey

    Coventry
    Doc
    Carey

    Dykes
    Kelman

Referees are marked by both clubs and an assessor at each game and those referees with the lowest marks at the end of the season are demoted ( except first- season referees in some cases) How then has James Linington been refereeing continuously on the EFL since 2008! Clubs and assessors cant be collectively wrong over such a long periiod.

BTW, the name is Linington not Linnington.
His nickname used to be Lino but it was too confusing

I've been critical of him this season for being too soft but I'd quite like to see Apter start in the RWB/RW position tonight. We're only properly threatening when we're in that hybrid 352/433 shape and with Ramsay back we should have the cover down the right. It won't suit him but stick Clarke at LWB until we can get someone in and then Gillesphey is covered by a defender. We're at home, Apter should be itching to show what he did at the start of the season and I would like to think that JRC being able to wriggle past people and drive with the ball might find Apter in a bit of space. I don't like TC as a wingback, he works hard defensively but it doesn't get much attacking thrust out of him and it robs us of the ability to bring him on in an advanced position to terrorise defenders. The problem is I just don't think Jones sees a place for Apter anymore, he's annoyed him too many times defensively and he'll bring just about anyone else on before him. I guess we'll see

I’d like to think we’d really go for it at home as 2 wins on the bounce would be a massive boost but I think we’ll be very unadventurous 0-0.

Be great to follow Saturday up with a win.  Really not sure what to make of Derby.  Decent result against Preston and I imagine it's the sort of game they'll look at think, we need to win if we're serious about the playoffs.

A lot depends on how NJ sets up down the left.  Can see Coventry coming back in and we need him.  We need to approach it like we did Coventry at home.  We were up for it and if we play like we did against them, we've got a good chance.

The onus is on us a bit now given the run of home games and the fact NJ has mentioned before how important they are

If Deby have 3 players sent off in the first half, I think we've got a chance of sneaking at least a draw.
  • I see this as a really important fixture and expect a solid performance tonight.

If we can get the 3 points, it opens up a 7 point lead over Portsmouth before they play again, they also have a horrible run of games every 3-4 days coming up. In the same time we play 4 games, they have 6 in order to make up the games in hand (including Southampotn, Sheff Utd, Millwall, Preston & Ipswich)

There is no doubting how tough that run is on legs a this stage of the season.

James Linington was very poor when he first refereed one of our games but he has improved with experience.

I don't know why. In days gone by managers used to focus on the next game. I would also say, agreeing with letthegoodtimesroll, that without doubt a win tonight will increase the chances of getting something on Saturday seeing as confidence plays such an important part in football.

We need to win at least 6 more games this season.  This is one we should be looking at as a good chance to get 3 points.
Don't care how we do it.  Don't care if it's ugly.  Just win please lads.

Tricky one with Derby's away form. Would take a point right now. I cannot see us playng well until Bell returns or we get a new left sided defender. Another long evening ahead, 2-0 to Derby.

Home form is the key and what will ultimately decide our fate. If we can win tonight anything we get on Saturday is a bonus.
