Can’t believe no one’s mentioned the air fryer being the solution to spitting bacon. By far the best way to cook it (and most things).

Being told you can also “get the answer online “ when you’ve tried that are now on hold for 25 minutes.
  • Cooking bacon and having to deal with Cooking oil spitting at you every couple of seconds!!
I'm 6ft4in and one bit of oil still managed to spit high enough, and hit me on the head the other day
The bacon sandwich I had today was damned good though
Fold rasher into kitchen paper, one minute in the microwave, done.

But the fats still basically raw…?
I found it ok but all down to taste

Good. It's a minute per rasher as a rule of thumb.

TBH I haven't done it for years, but remember being pleasantly surprised when I did - It definitely would've been lean bacon and it wasn't crispy, but very tasty just the same.

This country and its poxy weather.

8 degrees but feels like 2 degrees according to the app.

What’s the bloody point of it being 8 degrees then!

Isn't sex what posh people used to gave their coal delivered in?

    Similar issue.
The weather man tells us we had 3mm of rain last night but the buckets in my garden have 4 inches of water in them.
    How do they measure rainfall?

Noisy little northern kids in the Admiral Hardy, one of which is flicking Vs at his own father. They seem to love shrieking at people three feet away. Must be excitement at the prospect of seeing Charlton...

Hospital car parks/Ring Go Car parks.

Had an appointment up Queen Elizabeth, literally nowhere to park in any of the tiny 3 areas, so had to go round and park in Meridian, the cheeky c***s charged £7.10.

I ain’t fussed for £7 but some families are. Absolute liberty.

Hospital parking fees should be outlawed full stop (unless the location can genuinely be abused by commuters or shoppers).

No one goes to a hospital either as a patient or visitor or staff unless they need to.

It’s no doubt generating revenue but also funding car park companies for very little.

Give up the revenue and do the right thing is my ideal (if not practical).

Not for everyone, but you can park in Crook Log sports centre, walk across the road and jump on a 486 - every 12 minutes or so.  Takes about half an hour, but eliminates the stress of finding a spot.

Every hospital I’ve been to has at least one, usually more, bus stop outside.

I use public transport as much as possible, Iain, so I am a big champion of it. But... if you are needing a hospital, and your residence isn't on a direct route, faffing about changing buses might not be ideal? Or - as in Gary's case - you need to get there and back in a limited time, delays, changes and cancellations on the bus can't be built in to your schedule. Anyone with a legitimate reason to be at the hospital should be allowed to park for free.

Which will cost more than the parking.

Not sure what car Gary has but I don’t think it would fit on a bus

Yep! As long as it's not one of your players, fans love seeing someone sent off!

The other annoying quote is that they're not that type of player.

Well judging by the two incidents on Saturday they certainly are.
