Not a huge amount bar it sounds like ownership are ready to invest big on the women's side.

That's good, they could be on the cusp of getting promoted and their record over the past year is excellent. Go on the lasses.

I have to admit that when Rodwell was speaking, my brain tries to dribble out of my ears, so I'm a bit behind - apparently Gavin is currently going through the final phases of recruiting a CEO.

So we have no Supporters Liasion Officer and the ticket office staff are monitoring and answering emails into the Fans@cafc.co.uk address

I think you’ll get your wish. Filling up time with ground, maintenance, logistics chat I’ve no doubt will be part of the plan.
Can someone ask about the potato masher?

You might get more good ideas Ed if you engaged with them in-person instead of YouTube.

Rodwell - Luke Chambers was always our first choice 🤣🤣🤣
Clear from Rodwell’s later comments that Liverpool weren’t prepared to let him leave until he cleared certain thresholds in training and minutes for their U21s etc.

If he was truly our number 1 target then it makes sense that we would have waited for Liverpool to be satisfied. Otherwise we move on to target 2 or 3 or 4.

Yeah I'm not as incredulous about this given he was coming back from injury. We'll probably never know who choices 2, 3, and 4 were and if they'd have been better or even been able to come in earlier. But it would make sense from a Liverpool standpoint to wait to let Chambers go until he cleared some physical/fitness benchmarks.

Does fit with the suggestions a medical was done and then the parent club pulled out, clearly decided they wanted him to have a few more mins

Gavin made the point that with a US based ownership where womens football is very developed there is the appetite there from the owners to invest. Wonder if we do get promoted if they'll try and add some US internationals?

Rodwell apologised for the urine lake in the East Stand toilets and has stated that contractors have been in and fixed it and that he’s tested it himself and had a satisfactory experience.
He point-blank refused to confirm that a potato masher had been required in the West stand due to a flush failure in cubicle two…

    It’s a long term project.

The board are fully committed to the club and NJ.

We have to live within our means.

    Staying up is the priority.

    Only the right recruits.

We are hoping to resolve the CEO position sooner rather than later.

Still things behind the scenes to fix but we are getting there.

We need to do better in the match day experience.

Please contact your fan liaison contacts with any issues.

The Millwall thing was beyond our control and we acknowledge it wasn’t good. Hopefully in future it can be more like the Chelsea arrangements in future.

    Anything else?

    😉🤔🙂
    100% correct.

If an inexperienced, injury prone player is/was our number 1 choice who the hell was our target 2/3& 4 ? Phil Warman ?

Does the board genuinely believe that the current brand of football being served up is likely to attract new fans and or enjoyed by existing supporters?
Your judging that on one game , our second half yesterday was good Coventry at home we outplayed them .. before the injuries ,Leicester , Ipswich , Sheff Utd etc etc think the football as overall been very good but this is football and sometimes it’s impossible to play these you want and points become more important then performance
Bore off you clown. We have played shit hoof ball for months. As you effectively appear to be brain dead it’s no surprise that you don’t have an issue with it.
Funny when people go on attack when they know their wrong

I think my question about the medical side was reasonably well answered, although it needed Lucy to crank up the pressure on Rodwell, good on her. He said there is League-wide benchmarking of player availability, and we come in around the middle. I think he also said we were in that position last season as well and that does surprise me. It's true that I'm always over-conscious of our missing players and often not fully aware how many key players the opposition are missing. But I wonder how the benchmarking works. It must be an EFL thing similar to the wage budget benchmarking one; but this would need weekly updates from all the clubs to be sent in to a central EFL point, and then the output sent back could only be to tell each club "this is your current position in this table". No way does any club want the rest of the league to know it is bottom of the league!

Charlotte removed the word "abrupt" when reading out my question, which I expected, but I didn't like the way Rodwell referred to him. I remain convinced this wasn't an amicable parting, even if I am probably persuaded that we are not much worse off overall than other clubs in this league.

I think Lucy tried to be a bit more direct with questions this time, think people were saying she was a bit soft on them last time.

I think we should cut them slack. We as a club are genuinely in the best position since the Prem days.Always easy to have little digs - seemingly harder to give praise where it’s due.A bit like our current govt our owners inherited quite a mess and it takes time to repair and get us where we want to beWould probably have a lot more positive comments had we won last night.Lest we forget where we were this time last year .

Maybe wait to see him play before you write him off?
