I must admit after the last 2/3 months I’m definitely for the first time thinking it’s time to change, it’s the decision making, tactics and the fact we have 6/7 million worth of players brought in just to sit on the bench.

We started well enough in the league and whilst i understand injuries play a part, we dont even look remotely close to winning games anymore.

I genuinely believe we have enough talent to stay up, Jones just isnt getting a tune.

For me, his position needs to be looked at.

THE most negative manager we’ve ever had in my lifetime.
Time to go i’m afraid before it’s too late

You know I'm just speechless.. Just speechless at these "sack the Manager" claims having lost to Millwall
Would never have seen this coming in a million years
Bore off. Look at this performance.
Yeah the fact its Millwall isnt playing a factor in the reactions today
They're 4th, one defeat at home in 11-games, and we're already down on confidence
It’s more than Millwall. It’s been like this since November.

It's always worrying when a manager starts making decisions that fly in the face of any logic or reason. TC was our only outlet in the first half and he puts him at wingback. Eight minutes into the second half, he realises he needs to change it again!

Why is Macca still starting for us? He is absolutely useless.

He's not brought in any player other than Carey that improves us going forwards. Millions spent on players that don't get in the team.

We are still playing this tiki-whacka shite that does nothing for us.

I am fuming after that. One of the most all-time, worst and most gutless displays from a Charlton side.

I'm not going to say he needs to go, but he needs to get a grip on this immediately.

First time I've thought maybe might be best to get rid, but can't think of anyone decent available... Rowett might do a job, but won't be pretty

9 points from the last 14 games.

    Relegation form.
Yet we still haven't put a foot in the relegation zone... We've just lost to a team fighting for promotion, and on the road
Context needs to be put into place today, but of course it won't because emotions are running high, because its Millwall
My context is losing back to back games against relegation teams over Xmas period. Scraping a win against a team with 9 men, and half our points coming from lucky injury time goals

It is stuff like TC at wingback that makes me question whether he’s lost the plot.

It doesn’t work. It’s never worked. It won’t work. But he persists.

It also kills any attacking momentum. The game was over the moment he made that change

If we'd lost 4-0 today, away at another team flying high, I'm sorry but this reaction to sacking the Manager wouldnt be this loud
At least I dont think so... But then I'll "bore off"
  • Think that might be it. It’s only going one way. Given the rumours of what’s going on behind the scenes.
You mean given the fact that on Wednesday, Rodwell / Carter said there was never any consideration over sacking Jones?
Because a senior team has never lied before about their intentions.

they’re not exactly going to come out and say yes we are thinking of sacking him are they.

If you believe that I’ve got a bridge to sell you..

Put our only attacking outlet at left-back and put Femi Azeez up against TC and Gillespie, what on earth was he thinking

Get him out, that's all on him!!! That change at half time was stupid and bizarre

Couldn’t put it better myself. I must admit I am a bit of an NJ apologist but I walked out 10 mins before the end of the Sheff Utd game and I turned that off with 20 minutes to go. It is absolutely painful to watch at the minute. The problem is without signings it’s not going to get any better.

However I will caveat all of this with the fact that I think we soon forget we are playing very well established championship sides who I’m afraid to say are light years ahead of us!

I will hang my head on the chopping block and still say I think it would be a mistake to get rid of him! There is nobody out there that’s any better a the amount of sacked managers in the champ there has been tells me that this league is fucking tough!

I think it would, when we went on that horrible run of getting battered it came off the back of our incredible start of the season run, whilst also coinciding with injuries to the majority of our back line and Kelman. This defeat comes off 14 games of shit, and our last win only being thanks to a 9 man Sheffield and a relegation side in Oxford.

    That’s just not true though…

again people who are saying who do we replace him with. Thats not our job to find the right person

We look lost trying to attack. Kaminski has way too many mistakes in him. Jones's tactics are awful. We don't even get shots on goal let alone score. What was it 3 shots today... if your defending him still I think you are mad.

Context does need to be put into place and the other part of that is the performance… losing today is expected and not in itself unacceptable

that showing from 0-90 was indefensible , pretty much everything wrong , no quality no solidity no creativity no shots and worst of all no fight, pushed off the ball like children time and time again - all the big hits - justify that ?

We've been shite for a while, we are not putting in the effort we did against Chelsea for the first 45. We need to put that right as every game til the end of the season is a cup final for us. Let's not pretend we haven't been here before, under Bowyer it was the same, under Parkinson it was the same, only manager of recent to not have their players capitulate was Powell.

Was always Jones in, but today teamsheet was baffling and got it wrong with the subs as well. Who knows what might happen. Don't know if sacking him will improve us much since we lack quality

Yet despite our bad form, we've equally only just lost the second game this calendar year.
There is a long way to go this season, still a lot of Football to be played
Chambers looked alright going forward, and is frustrating that he cant last 90mins yet, its frustrating that we've gone this month without another fit Left-Back (through no deliberate act of anyone), but it at least allowed Campbell to look more of a threat going forward. Away from home is always going to be the concern, its why for months, its why ever since the start of the season I've said: "Win the Home Games / Draw the Away Games"

This is the first time I’ve genuinely thought he should go. It’s not even just about keeping us up in the championship the team lacks an identity and organization and if the rumors about him and doc are true which I believe they are clearly he’s losing the players. NJ’s philosophy only works when the players completely buy into it and I don’t think they do anymore.

I'm sure the owners love the fact that their money has been spent on players that have either spent half the time out injured or on the bench.

As fans we are more than able to give our opinion that we want change based on performances and results.

That’s can’t be shocking news to you surely.
