Did Jones buy Ahadme? I can’t even remember now I’ve seen so much more shit since then
  • Feel for tanto. Hard worker and never hid.
  • What a circus
IF we don't replace them with quality that is injury free and ready to go.
Even if we do, what a joke. Signed these players in the summer, barely given a proper chance and ditched already.

True I suppose and that calls into question judgement as a longer term consideration....but for now we're in a very perilous position and the current set of players is not good enough/ haven't delivered either because of lack of ability or opportunity (who knows why the latter for the likes of Apter) and drastic action is needed perhaps.

Maybe Millwall Saturday was the nadir and prompted management and owners to realise shit's on fire yo and take significant action to redress it in the very limited remaining window we have left to do so.

If we bring in some real quality that is fit and ready to go and it turns us around then that will hopefully turn out to be wise.  And perhaps ironically getting thumped by Millwall may have been the necessary catalyst....we may have had a different outcome/ midnset up above had we drawn/ narrowly lost.

Too early to tell yet and the departures are concerning but last bit of remaining optimism suggests that perhaps this is the pre cursor to bringing in season saviours. The inquest about spunking summer budget on failed singings can start up above once and if we secure survival.

I hope that's the reality though because if we're brigning in the usual CAFC January hit and hope patches whilst showing the likes of Apter and Tanto the door then we're potentially fucked and it'll be very concerning.

He did. His track record for buying and nurturing attacking talent is pretty shocking. Godden aside, who luckily had earned his stripes elsewhere, nearly every attacking threat he's had available has gone to sh*t.

Biggest case in point is Tyreece Campbell. A player that is no further along in his development from the day Jones turned up.
If I was Mbick I'd be banging down Jones door to get out. He'll never make him a player.

Tanto out, Fevrier in, overall fits exactly what we need for the rest of the season

Were those up front amount for each... Or was the initial number lower, with the overall fee rising to those amounts, based off appearances and other clauses

So we swapped the pace of Tanto for the lumbering of Dykes. Goal scoring record fairly similar (crap).

Think there's more moving pieces than that. Tanto is actually replaced up top by TC who can now play there regularly because Fevrier and Chambers have come in. Dykes means Leaburn can have a rest and hopefully be more productive. Proper wing backs also mean our midfield has less defending to do and can hopefully provide more chances for Dykes/Leaburn/TC.

It's hard to see immediately but I do think there's a plan here

Thought this was interesting. There's clearly a player there. At the very least we'll expect to recoup some of the fee in the summer. Hopefully he gains confidence and has a future here though

Pretty much every team in League One enquired about Olaofe but his first choice was always going to be a return to Stockport. #cafc

  • Good luck to him needs to get some minutes and boost confidence as NJ has little faith in him.
  • What’s Steve Gallen up to?

5th in the Championship at a very well run club with demonstrably interested/ serious owners. Probably got a nice semi in Bromley n'all.

I don’t think Tanto was up to the levels we needed but Jones’ man management is pretty awful. Tanto said in his interview he missed a feeling of love and feeling valued.

Depends what league we're in. Fair chance Jones will be gone if we go down and new manager would likely welcome him.

It's an interesting one though because last season the players kept going on about how good Jones was at managing the squad and how he kept everyone happy even if they weren't playing. We played a fairly consistent lineup last season but there wasn't any noise about players being unhappy and they were the ones in the media talking him up. I don't know what it is this time, if it's the pressure causing fractures, if we haven't done our due diligence on personalities or if it's just that there's a difference in opinion between Jones and the players about whether or not they're good enough. I guess it' easier to justify not playing people when you're at the top of the league table

Shame, would have hoped to see some more cameos from him, had a little to offer in closing stages of games with his attributes.

Would say It's good depending on who his replacement is, but fenaddick has probably hit the nail on the head in that it's TC starting up top with a different partner each week.

Good luck to him, hope he finds some form to end the season with.

This is the difference. This season we haven't played a consistent line up but Apter, Doc, Tanto etc. haven't been given a chance even when lots of changes are being made. It's much easier to take a lack of minutes when the team is virtually unchanged and winning as you don't really have a leg to stand on

Less chances than Miles, same amount of league goals, 1. Just saying.

Agree with your last two points, but not sure he did get plenty of chances.

Played 22 times in league, but what was his actual minutes played? Not a lot. And I don't remember him ever starting several league games in a row.

I know he missed a couple of opportunities that should have scored from, but then you could say that of every single one of our attacking players this season.
