I've asked my Kenyan mates if they've got a flag I can take friday2
-
Wont it take longer to arrive via post from Kenya?2
-
Chance for them to step up - its easy posting stuff on line - if you're Kenyan and in London and you revere Collins like we do, be there Friday for his grand unveiling. If your in Kenya, get on a plane - this is your chance to see the next phase in Collins rise to global superstar.CombeMartin said:Does anyone know how many tickets for tomorrow night we've sold to Kenya supporters yet.2 -
I'm claiming Kenyan heritage - i had a DNA thing done a few years back and they could trace 97.9% British and Irish so i'm assuming the rest is Kenyan. If Cole Palmer has a black grandad...CaptainRobbo said:Out of interest.
Does anyone know if any of our Kenyan friends have joined CL yet?5 -

Just drove past the Valley and it's started already.

Kelman street food? Clearly we aren't paying our players enough!3

All of his Kenyan fans seem to have an obsession with whether he’s eaten or not. Maybe if there’s a break in play maybe rather than throw him a water bottle they should throw him a chicken wing ! Other requirements seem to be, he should be captain , & fill all other positions in the team . So looks like it’s going to be Sichenje v QPR on Friday night !0

At least it explains why Rousillon had to leave2

Yeah, good point - we'll have to turf Curbs off the East stand then.fenaddick said:0 -
Collins Sichenje has moved us up the league table since signing.

So I've been a bit surprised by this sudden influx of Kenyans on the social media channels, even thought that surely we're just experiencing some bots while listening to Charlton Live last night as the chat exploded. But I asked one of my guys at work who's Kenyan and a big football fan and he convinced me just how genuine this hype is, so much so that he even wants to come to a game at The Valley just to see the guy soon, there seems to be a level of passion that we've just never had a chance to experience yet!
I think this is going to connect so well with us as a club and a fan base, it's strange how I almost have no interest in whether he's actually any good, I'm just enjoying the reception he's bringing to the club6 -
I think we can give the Kenyan influence full credit for Leicester's points deduction.jose said:Collins Sichenje has moved us up the league table since signing.

Sounds like Collins could go straight into the match day squad, the way that Jones has spoken about him1
-
Mixed signals, comments about him being fit and available but also needing time to adjust. Wouldn't be surprised if he isn't in the squad for a few weeks but is the "spare man" and then is on the bench by the end of the monthForeverAddickted said:Sounds like Collins could go straight into the match day squad, the way that Jones has spoken about him4 -
Kenyan Mafia are going to be after you, with that sort of negative talk!!fenaddick said:

I read that the number one sport in Kenya is football, followed by Rugby.
I imagine that's team sports, because there are also a lot of talented Kenyans in individual sports.

"He is fearsome, in terms of how he trains and goes about it and the lads are aware of that - he’s left a calling card already on a few of them."Nathan Jones goes into more detail below on the signing of Collins Sichenje. #cafc9

I would hope he’s ready to take Macca’s spot on the bench.4

Well there goes the soft underbelly we seemed to have for years. Lyndon, Collins and The 'new' aggressive Miles. Excellent stuff.5
-
Maybe another career opportunity for Jason Pearce.jose said:I read that the number one sport in Kenya is football, followed by Rugby.

Actually, you’d be closer sticking to to the ’a’ sound in ’changer’Callumcafc said:
It’s like “sir changer” but if it was an E instead of an A in changer.Rothko said:
This guy knows how it's said perfectly, also talks up Sichenje https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ozs-cq1L6yQCH4RLTON said:
The phoneme (like a backwards curvy capital E) doesn’t exist in English but probably comes closest to that sound. If you know French then it is the vowel sound in ’lait’ or ’bête’
This sound appears also at the end of his name so you definitely don’t want the -er sound at the end but rather same sound again.0 -
You’re right about rugby. My club - Charlton Park - receives daily requests from one chap in Nairobi to become a member and a first XV player. The coach regularily gets sent CV’s and YouTube clips from players from Kenya asking for a trial 🤷♂️jose said:I read that the number one sport in Kenya is football, followed by Rugby.

Comparison of the engagement on the It's Matchday tweets due to the Collo effect. Absolutely crazy.

The way the engagement is going the club will cover the cost of the transfer fee in social media revenue within a month.0
-
Nearly 600 member requests for the International FB page overnight 😳🫣😫😂😂😂😂😂12
