Yep, Biglad is really defending the decision to continue with an injured player, for some reason. Maybe a physio in life.Weegie Addick said:
Someone did pass to him and he put another ball into the box and winced again.elbiglad said:
Ha, I don’t think he was told to try and run it off! He was told to stand up front for the last four minutes of a game we had a good chance of getting something from. I don’t think he was involved in anything that could’ve made it worse, the damage was already done.Athletico Charlton said:elbiglad said:I think it's pretty clear: whoever made the decision (likely Nathan Jones) to keep him on the pitch for four minutes after he signalled that he was injured. I think it's totally understandable how this happened in the moment.
It's easy to be a Monday morning quarterback.
It was very obviously a hamstring at the time. He should have been straight off, it's schoolboy stuff. You can't run it off, it will only make it worse. I was there and said he should be straight off as did everyone with me. It's not being a Monday morning quarterback, it's basic.
But NJ is in credit overall and Collins will hopefully be fit and raring to go for next season as he looked very, very decent.0 -
I am just saying it was understandable in the moment as there wasn’t long left and I don’t think the injury was made any worse. The Monday morning quarterback comment was made in relation to someone saying ‘we got nothing from the game so it was a bad decision’.Anyway, looking forward to his return!0

That's even worse. This is professional football not a Sunday League game.
"Stand up front and don't move around" is a pointless instruction, even more reason to simply take him off if that is the whole point of leaving him on.
He did try to jog a couple of occasions, clearly in discomfort, and as said above, got passed the ball again and winced whilst kicking it.3 -
Absolute amateur hour from the management team with this, we wonder why we get so many injuries, if this is an indicator it's like we've let the work experience lad have a go.4

Is it confirmed he is out for the season?Athletico Charlton said:elbiglad said:I think it's pretty clear: whoever made the decision (likely Nathan Jones) to keep him on the pitch for four minutes after he signalled that he was injured. No not been confirmed all we know is Kaminski is the closest to being back at present. Just depends how bad the hamstring injury is based on what we’ve seen from Kelman and Bell’s hamstring injuries they’ve take around 6 weeks to healDamoNorthStand said:

No, I was more thinking that a hammy is likely about 4-6 weeks at best by which time this season is as good as done.0 -
Bell was back after three weeks from Chelsea to Leicester.1

Having followed and watched more football games this season (especially the championship) as I now have Sky - it really does not sound like the amount of injuries we have had in recent years is anything different to what other teams experience.EugenesAxe said:Absolute amateur hour from the management team with this, we wonder why we get so many injuries, if this is an indicator it's like we've let the work experience lad have a go.
10 players out, only 1 fit CB etc etc - I routinely hear other teams facing these issues.4 -
We have been quite fortunate this season with injuries reallyFishCostaFortune said:

Number of injuries not really but the fact they’ve all been in the same position where we lack depth the most is so unfortunateMickeyBennett said:

It helps that there's an international break soon. By the time we return from that it's April and he could be back.Athletico Charlton said:DamoNorthStand said:

Any update on his recovery? Not seen him in any training clips on the grass.0

_uptheaddicks said:Any update on his recovery? Not seen him in any training clips on the grass. Not yet but playing the law of averages with grade 2 hamstring injuries, commonly look at 6-8 weeks out so hopefully back for Preston or the Sheffield Wednesday game. Not grade 1 because he would have been back already would guess it’s not grade 3 otherwise he would be out for the season and the club would have probably put out a statement he would be out for the rest of the year2

I think we will see a big season for this lad next year. He showed alot of potential I think in his brief gametime so far6

We need our star boy back before the end of the season1
-
Will already be the April player of the month.8

Yes but Jones has pots in the bag now (so probably doesn't care about the monthly awards now)0 -

Hopefully be ready by Ipswich at the very least, as we wont have Clarke to rely on4

We were planning to sign him in Summer buts it’s been brought forward so I assume there’s some desire to have him in the squadEr_Be_Ab_Pl_Wo_Wo_Ch said:Are we expecting him in the squad/team any time soon, or is he more likely to be a fringe player for this season?

Yes, I think it was helpful he got a taste of the Championship, and did well, whether he is back playing or not this season.AndyG said:I think we will see a big season for this lad next year. He showed alot of potential I think in his brief gametime so far1 -
Wonder how he fits in next year I know squad depth is a big thing but he’s not going to get in over Jones, I’d very surprised to see Ramsay dropped unless he’s sold, not sure how he gets into the XI. Can always move Ramsay to RWB but that could be seen as quite negative0
-
He’s a defender but I’m sure we’ll see him in midfield on occasion. He’s decent on the ball, forward thinking and athletic.Crispywood said:Wonder how he fits in next year I know squad depth is a big thing but he’s not going to get in over Jones, I’d very surprised to see Ramsay dropped unless he’s sold, not sure how he gets into the XI. Ramsay hasn't been great shakes this season, if he continues on as he started he can easily play ahead of him, long term.Crispywood said:Wonder how he fits in next year I know squad depth is a big thing but he’s not going to get in over Jones, I’d very surprised to see Ramsay dropped unless he’s sold, not sure how he gets into the XI. It's a squad game anyway so it'll be good to have proper competition for places0 -
Hopefully our Kenyan warrior 🇰🇪 is ready for Ipswich when Clarke won't play and Ramsey rwb.1

I think it’s wonderful fun that we’ve engaged the whole of Kenya. Can we not just revel in it and pick up a few new fans along the way?PrincessFiona said:
