Good to see we're following Jimmy Seed's lead, and signing African players :-)
At very least we'll sell a load of shirts!

Have you explained to them that Collins is unlikely to be starting tonight?

Total Charlton if he comes on in the 80th, gets sent off in the 95th and injures himself leaving the pitch, out for the season...

Let's face it, it is Charlton.

Talked to the bloke in the Jamba meat market in peckham and he said they’re making a special sheep’s head soup in honour of him joining the club.

Not noticed this in the thread, but found this amusing post on Twitter. 😂

    Dear Charlton Athletic,

Congratulations on acquiring the signature of Collins Sichenje. It is truly an honour for you.

As per the rich traditions and very serious football customs of our country, kindly take note of the following essential conditions for his stay and success:

    1. He must start all matches, unless injured, suspended, or abducted by destiny.

    2. Substitutions are strictly prohibited until the 85th minute or later, regardless of scoreline, weather, or common sense.

    3. All official starting XI posters must feature his picture prominently — others may appear as supporting cast.

    4. Any shot on target by him shall be recorded as a goal in official statistics.

    5. Any shot off target shall be generously counted as an assist.

    6. Should he score an actual goal, the UK Army is expected to honour the moment with a 21-gun salute (minimum).

We trust you will comply fully and look forward to seeing the club prosper under these perfectly reasonable expectations.

    Warm regards,A Very Patriotic Supporter.❣️❣️

    You’re missing a trick @AFKABartram
I’ve been offered a wide hipped women to help with my farm work just because I’ve been so welcoming to our new Kenyan friends. At least I think that’s why they’ve offered her to me 🤔

I absolutely love the idea of a little African lad, seeing him play for us and it becomes his dream to also wear that wonderful jersey.

Feel like he deserves an orchestral song... Like Puma's brilliant Hardchorus ad.

To the tune of Truly, Madly Deeply:

I wanna walk with Collins Sichenje
From The Valley to the Wembley stairs
South London to the plains of Kenya
And cheer with all the Addicks there

Tbf the additional coverage can only be a good thing for the club. I’m surprised we haven’t been posting the links to CATV to bring in some extra viewers while the interest is there.
i can’t wait for the meltdown tonight when he isn’t in the squad. Although I’m hoping he is and he comes on at some point just to see what he is all about

I wish they published the viewing figures for CATV because if the comments online are anything to go by I think tonight will see a big upsurge. Terry could turn into a celebrity in Kenya and be on their version of Strictly before he knows it lol

It's a big night for him, whether he gets on the pitch or not. Awesome for a young man to turn up to play his football so far from home, let alone a cold and wet Friday night in Charlton. The support he has from home is awesome too. It will be a privilege to support him from inside the ground so he gets off to the best start possible.

Hope he gets a great reception

Get the feeling he’s gonna become a bit of a cult figure one way or another
