POST-MATCH THREAD: Charlton Athletic v Stoke City: Wednesday 11th February 2026: KO 19:45

Not in a position to give much of a summary but Charlton started brightly and were unlucky not to be up in the first hand after a handful of good chances. Stoke came into it a little more in the final fifteen minutes of the first half and had the odd chance of their own but couldn’t score either. With a lot of injuries Stoke were largely ordinary. The second half went a bit stale until Tyreece Campbell got on the end of a Lyndon Dykes headed flick on that he slotted past the keeper to put the Addicks ahead. Charlton held on for what was a good win and much needed three points.

Charlton 1 Stoke 0

Over to you.

Really feel sorry for Stoke, thought they had a real chance to lose by more. Thankfully we had a bit of class in front of goal and a solid defence.

  • You have to wonder where we'd be this season with a settled team
That performance reminded me of the Swansea / West Brom games early in the season where we just know how to dig out the points that we need - Crazy that despite Stoke's possession, they just didnt do enough with it, probably got lucky with Rak-Sakyi hitting the bar (we did the same), and two crosses that Thomas put home, but Kaminski just wasn't troubled at all this evening
How far off are we, from having the most clean sheets in the Division?

Well deserved win that. Great to see us being more positive in possession and creating plenty of chances. What an impact all the January signings are having.

That back three walking the walk.

its obvious our season was built on that and when they’ve played it’s been almost faultless.

Decent game that came down to one chance. If we keep our players fit we stay up easy.

well done NJ and the boys.

Great three points and we'll deserved. I havevto say I wasn't that impressed with Stoke at their place especially given how poor we were, and they were worse today. We lacked a bit of creativity in each half after our initial push ground down,  so great to see TC come on and score. Three points and up the league we go.

After listening to 94 minutes of utter dross from the Stoke comms it was delightful to hear ‘Potters Nan devastated when we scored. Fuck off back home.

  • Lovely goal for TC's confidence.

Second game in a row we've created a lot. Chambers, Clarke and Coady giving us real balance and helping progress the ball much better than first half of the season.
  • Massive clean sheet win, get the guitar out!

    Such relief -

We look solid champ again -

If we could add a creative mid and striker we could be a threat in this division.

That win was absolutely huge - take a win against Portsmouth and we are almost there.
