Release the Nathan Jones Post-Match interview!!!!17
-
Tempted to quote all of Damo’s posts from the match thread and have them printed on a large canvas: “the mind of a Charlton fan as they deservedly win a game of football”.8

Amari Bell is an absolute Rolls Royce of a defender. Lyndon Dykes is superb at what Jones needs him to be. It’s so hard to judge a player based on fan feedback on here - Coady, awful signing, disgrace, we are going down. Lyndon Dykes, donkey terrible relegation signing. Harvey Knibbs, best player in L1, can’t wait, etc.

Dirty northern barstewards got what they deserved.
Thomas should have been awarded 3 pens against him for bearhugging Coady at every corner.
The ref was a pillock.
So pleased for TC, he was played in his best position at last and he was effective.
A good around team performance. Well done for those who went ad cheered them on.20 -
tbh, we did eff all in second half, but who gives a shit !.3
-
Really good win, we’re closer to midtable than relegation

The so called free hit was a home run.
Jones mugging off the Stoke fans and management team was icing on the cake.
So was laughing at the mouthy prick in F Block telling all and sundry that TC was a waste of space and will "100% not score tonight because he's a lazy useless c*** who can't run and can't shoot"
Hope you feel like a right wally if you're on here65 -
Wing backs that are actual wing backs have changed this team totally.
Coady quietly going about his work and shoring up that area in front of the defence.Proper team again. Lovely40 -

I'm unashamedly taking the assist for that win... Trying to control sixteen Beaver Scouts this evening... I deserved a reward for my efforts... Charlton you delivered!!26
-
Have to say Doc again, the amount of important covering challenges he makes is outstanding56

Our highest points return from 31 games at this level since 2012/13 under Powell when we had 40pts, just one more than we do this evening. Thanks to CAFC Facts & Stats on Twitter/X:

Could have been 3-0 after 10 minutes, really pleased with the amount chances we created tonight, some matches this season, when we were really strugggling with injuries, we’d go the whole 90 plus, without creating a chance,9

❤️Only Lyndon❤️6

Didn't want us to sign Dykes, now hope we give him a 2 year deal at the end of the season. Proper Nathan Jones striker24
-
Early days but January business is looking very good so far. Coady, Clarke, Chambers and Dykes all making a huge difference. Dykes especially is way better than I thought he would be. Would be happy signing all 4 of them in the summer

TC “can’t run”? Strangest ever take on him.sam3110 said:The so called free hit was a home run.

Charlie Vaughan, Eddie Firmani, Ray Treacy, Paul Walsh, Clive Mendonca, Yann Kermorgant: I have watched them all. Now add another name to the list of Addicks immortal super-strikers. Tyreece Campbell. Treble his wages and stick him on a ten-year contract now!19
-
Deserved I think but a tough, anxiety-filled watch.
The new signings have really made an impact - which is particularly impressive considering they're January recruits.
Clarke was immense (hope we can sign him in the summer), but I thought Dykes was the MOTM. He put in one hell of a shift. Makes the ball stick and keeps going and going. Then produced a lovely flick-on to TC for the goal.
NJ deserves huge credit, and tbh the club. Carter, Rodwell and Chapple. Too early for pats on back but credit is there for sure.
That was a big, big, big, big win.

Need to take our chances early in games when we get them. For some fairly long periods of the game they were better than us. TC coming on pinned them back a little bit but he needs to get closer to Dykes. Clearly needed some frsh legs in midfield. Honestly think we are missing Anderson off the bench.

Fantastic result - the boys are fighting for NJ and the shirt...we'll be fine.
Hat tip to Tyreece; showed the necessary composure when it mattered. Take a bow, son.
Take that, you crockery fondling f**kers!26 -
Huge. 0-0 would have felt like we were wasting vital opportunities for points. A draw against Pompey will be okay, but if we beat them then we can really start to feel confident about staying up.Also nice to know that we can beat 11 men.13

Did have me wondering if it was going to be a nearly match. Good that we finished it off . I think NJ is a happy chap.Mendonca In Asdas said:Could have been 3-0 after 10 minutes, really pleased with the amount chances we created tonight, some matches this season, when we were really strugggling with injuries, we’d go the whole 90 plus, without creating a chance,

3 points is 3 points. Can't complain. If we wanna stay up were gonna have to win a few ugly ones.
Fans brilliant as usual.7 -
Easy to forget that 4 of the 11 who started weren't here a month ago. To get all of them to gel, look important cogs in the machine and use them to regain the balance we missed is seriously impressive27
-
Such a massive win. Thought it might be another QPR after some wasteful chances. Composed finish from TC after a slightly heavy touch.
Stabilising that left side of defence has been so important and looking far more solid at the back.
Stoke were pony and thank god JRS clearly still loves us.10 -
Huge win! Bell is some player15
-
Brilliant result tonight. Dykes is pretty good isn't he. Need Bell to keep fit as he is the difference. Very happy and performances have improved since the nightmare at the New Den.2
-
If you can't win pretty, win ugly. Powell promotion squadesque performance. We played well and they played well, but we played even more well.3
