Just was in a whatsapp chat (when someone pointed that out) considering making Nathan Jones press conference bingo now.

Guaranteed Thursday/Friday he mentions beating Man City when he was Southampton manager.
  • We seem to get results in blocks of runs, be it good and bad.  It is very frustrating.
IF we had won tonight I would have thought we'd have been safe from relegation with us being ten points in front of Leicester/third place spot.
I still think we will stay up and we can then say that Jones has done a fantastic job with us.
Hopefully we do not go on a bad run of form, our next two games are away after all and we have only gathered four points from nine in these three home games.
I am still pleased we have Jones in the hot seat, and hopefully leading us forward next season.
It's a very poor return against 2 teams in QPR and Stoke that are in poor form and a Pompey team who had only won twice away all season, were 4th bottom and had 14 players out injured.  Really lucky we beat Leicester away.
we remain firmly in the mix for relegation.

He just didn’t seem to be able to explain why we were so bad tonight again, somehow he needs to get us playing some football aswell as the punt and try and win 2nd balls because we don’t win 2nd balls, it seems like every side anticipates where the ball may go better than us and we end up under pressure. It’s tough because as much as the tactics and style of play is on him, when the whole team don’t turn up and make shit decisions and play with no quality whatsoever he’s the one picking up the pieces. I’ve been saying it a while, there will have to be a tipping point for Nathan when he has to adjust his philosophy when it comes to style of play where the championship is concerned, he is being out managed at times, does he play this football because he doesn’t think the players he has are good enough to play more football?, or is it just his way?.

Completely lost his head at the end with a fan in the North lower. Had to be dragged down the tunnel by players.
Do you know why it was?
I was much too far away to hear what was said, but from where I was standing it looked like the fan was shouting something at Jones. From the fan's gesture, it seemed it was something to do with Nescafé. I'm assuming it was a continuation of the debate about what constitutes an americano.

Maybe he was angry because the fan was telling him he’d seen a couple of the players in Costa coffee, hence the Nescafé gesture.

The poor result was last night. A draw against QPR isn't bad (they came to the Valley having just beaten Coventry) and a win would've put them just outside the play offs, and then we beat Stoke. The win against Leicester wasn't 'lucky' either, we played well.
