By the sounds of it, could it be like Ipswich away, 3-0 win 😆3

Back above Norwich as things stand5
-
Decent half, they had some chances but we seemed to get some passing going as the half progressed0
-
All good so far. Keep it tight, ride the pressure, build confidence and try to steal it at the end.2

Feels like one of those training sessions where it's "ok, you lot are defenders and you lot are attackers'

But after Blackburn won last night, and Leicester got a point today, I thought our relegation was confirmed?ForeverAddickted said:Back above Norwich as things stand9 -

They hit the bar still and Bree missed a header from about 4 yards out.Dazzler21 said:
It's been one-sided but without too much threat really.SELR_addicks said:One sided, but the scoreline is all that matters I suppose.
Only need one, but luckily hasn't happened yet.0 -
I tuned in late so only saw the last 20 minutes, but thought that was alright from us. Probably wasted the one opening I saw when TC was breaking down the left and should have shot rather than try to feed Carey, but there weren’t any scares from Saints either. Decent first half because we were all fearful of another pummelling and it’s not looking like going that way so far. L
A point here would be a great result.2 -
Tight performance so far.0

IMO, perfect first half. Really need this point - come on your reds2

Millwall mate at the game said Portsmouth look a good side and nothing like relegation material.
You would think if / when they get players back from injury they should get out of this.1 -
Very little possession, but not under the cosh.
Our BFK looks like a good replacement for our BFG.1 -
Like the look of Sichenje so far. He's definitely going to concede a penalty before the season is out though! Hopefully not in a tight game lol

And our "current form" is that we've won 2 of the last 4 before today. Some people ......MrBurns said:
You make it sound like we're in the bottom three. 3 more wins and a few draws that's all we need to stay up.ro_addick said:
Spot on. And regrettably, appears much the same with most every other team in this Division (who have now all well figured us out) Including those around us, from whom we need to grab points, and aren't. Very hard scrabble to beat relegation on our current form. Few goals and little else on offer from all these 'super signings' we've made.CL_Phantom said:The gulf in class/ ability between us and them is depressing.3 -
Competed more in ten minutes of this game than we did in ninety against Pompey. Some very good performances from Jones, Bell and Docherty and Chambers in particular. Sichenje has done ok, not brilliant but he's got a few interceptions in and is popping up in some forward positions when we have got forward. I know people want a more expansive game from us but I think Southampton's movement will cause most teams a problem in this league. Just hang in there, keep it tight3

The BFK did struggle defensively a bit, lucky to not be booked for persistent fouling. Fortunately this ref isn't card happy like Tuesday's.1

You make the Bree chance sound easier than it was. It was too high for him.SELR_addicks said:

Pompey 1-0!0

Millwall 0-1 Portsmouth1

Keep doing what we are doing. Keep it tight, keep solid and men behind the ball. Ride our luck when we have to. If it's our day then we will at least be able to take it deep into the game and put some pressure on them late on.
