That curled shot would have been a cracker though, that’s the type of goal that reignites the energy in the stadium. His actual goal was quite good but just felt like a damp squib

He's not that quick but he clearly worries defenders. What did concern me a little is I enjoyed his maniac movements and how much they confused defenders but there are times when you just need to slip the simple ball through and he did 14 stepovers and had a pint instead. Ramsay put a brilliant run together that just needed the return ball and Fevrier over-complicated it and wasted the chance. Jones feels like the kind of manager who will beat the worst of that out of him though, he also provided spark and energy and got us our goal. Overall I like him, he's got as many goals for us now as magical Apter

Good finish, but I remain convinced Stockport just threw him in to sweeten the deal to get Tanto back on loan.

Sorry I know he scored and everything but there is a lad called Rob Apter up at Bolton who runs rings around this fella.

Going by Saturday, Bolton fans weren't impressed with his performance I thought?

nice finish but fuck me, he looks so overweight. Was like he was running in treacle after 10 mins.

    a real bizarre signing.
Roussillon loves a bit of treacle sponge and custard.
    He will be well jealous.

Bolton fans already want him out the team apparently missing sitters left right and centre. Tanto now being benched shows how awful the summer recruitment has turned out

Don't underestimate the effect Jones has had on them.

They were never right for his system but still they were bought. Their heads must be like scrambled egg at this moment In time.

His arms move like an Olympic sprinter but his legs move like a fat kid on the playground

Provided some decent threat though, think he created a decent amount of space for Dykes to work in

He lacks pace and a trick or two and what he tries to do rarely comes off but for some reason I quite like him! I think it's because when he comes on he actually tries to carry the ball forward.

Some said he was lightning fast but he looks no quicker than Docherty. Was he being confused with another player?

Misplaced a couple of passes but at least he actually tried to play some one-touch and make things happen

He has a good shimmy! Less of the one touch passing please.

He's definitely seemed quicker in the past but maybe that's because he was playing against lower division players, maybe he needs more fitness but he definitely seems slower than I remember

He did about 17 times more things than Carey
  • What a duck for the goal!

I was really pleased with him today. He created space for Dykes, Ramsay and Clarke to play in and worried their defenders. He's not pure pace but he's tricky and makes defenders back off him. It's no accident that Ramsay had that freedom to play his pass, we were so deep on that side before he came on

  • I think we should build the team around him next year.

His best contribution was actually getting out of the way of the football which I find quite funny

Makes me think our strongest team probably has of Dykes and Leaburn starting and one of TC and Fevrier.

That way we have a target man on the pitch and the threat and width TC or Fevrier bring, and can bring on the other two when needed.

One thing is for certain - Dykes and Leaburn isn't the way to go.

Looked laboured going back defending, however looked good in attack. Would like to see him and tc on either wing deeding, with carey in just behind, all feeding dykes

Carey TC and Fevrier in charge of putting in service to Dykes. From what I saw tonight think hed get better service from Bell Sichenje and Ramsay playing in behind him
  • Played well when he came on. Made a difference
