Stockport fan on twitter saying he's a winger who they've forced into playing wingback, which is why he hasn't had many starts this season

Stockport fan in the office had said:

Very left footed but very quick. Will do something special once every 6 games but usually has no end product. Will try to beat his man every time but will always need to cut back onto his left. Amazed we've signed him as doesn't think he's even top end of league one quality, but maybe a change of scenery will be the catalyst to prove him wrong

The good news is we have written him off so he is bound to be a star thank christ
just in time for him to go back to stockport when we go down and they come up.
they're going for it and i think they'll do it - a far better deal for them than us
A few teams are going for it though, not just Stockport. Bolton have made good signings, Huddersfield just spent a million on Mumba. They can't all go up because Cardiff are surely going to get one promotion spot.

Also i remember last January, most people on here thought Huddersfield would be a good bet for promotion after they spent 3.5m on Taylor and Charles. They didn't even make the play offs and a year later Taylor is on loan at Wigan.
They’re well placed and have just brought back they’re main attacking threat from last year and their captain is just coming back after being out all season - that’s without knowing who else they’ve brought in and they haven’t lost anybody - I’d say they r looking good for play offs minimum

This is a punt and if it comes off great but is only worth doing if we have others lined up because a punt is not what we need -  potential and erratic brilliance occasionally and power and pace gives me some hope but not championship ready - a good lad apparently but if we had brought Fred West in and he created and scored goals I’d be happy - a bit part for Stockport for a reason - just can’t see it but I will get behind him and support as I will all the others but can really see the crowd turning if we don’t add some proper quality before the window ends

Interestingly in this he says he came to the gym with Tanto over the summer. Wonder how common things like that are?

What gym was he talking about? Even if he means our gym I suppose he was just training with a mate over the close season.

Yeah he means ours. Agree that’s what he meant, I just wasn’t sure how widespread something like that was
  • Has anyone done the joke about this month being Fevrier’s favourite of the year?

If not, no need to thank me.

Most of us on here struggle speaking English, let alone French.

Not a wing-back that is for sure.
Gave the ball away for their 3rd (If Kaminski is getting flack tonight that needs to be noted). Well taken goal, but too little too late imo.

Nice finish but not a champ player for me, first touch isn't good enough.

My take away from tonight is that he’s a BTEC Thierry Small

Surprised to see these comments I thought he was our most lively player in the second half even without his goal

Agreed. In a night of poor performances, he did ok. It was a pretty tough time to make your debut too, and in a formation which the team hadn't played before, for much of the half.

Helped liven us up a bit (not that that is a high bar) and took his goal well. I try to not to judge players until they've had plenty of opportunities. However, if you were to pin me down and force a prediction out of me - my Spidey senses tell me he ain't going to be much for us and we won't want to retain him past the summer.

Unless it was all about budget balancing, I don't really see why we sent Apter and Olaofe out on loan in order to sign this fella. I'd have rather seen them trusted with some more opportunities.

Thought he did ok to be honest. Coming on in a game where we're getting outplayed and are 2-0 (and then very swiftly 3-0) down isn't easy.

Had to laugh with the comments on the match thread of people calling him shit after only about 5-10 minutes. What exactly were people expecting him to do? Come on and score twice in that time?

Just a small point, it wasn’t his debut, he came on as a sub v Leicester and is still to make his full debut. Took his goal well but haven’t seen enough yet to form an opinion.

Good finish, could easily have had 2 and put in a couple of half decent crosses but I just don't see it, maybe I just expected pace to burn after reading the various comments when he signed but he looks like hes running in treacle and first touch is awful certainly not championship standard, be very surprised if hes playing in championship next season.

nice finish but fuck me, he looks so overweight. Was like he was running in treacle after 10 mins.

    a real bizarre signing.

I mean, the goal he scored wouldn't have happened had he scored with the first attempt.
