Well we're 17th, so at the moment there are more than three teams worse than us...Leftfootforward said:It baffles me there could be 3 worse teams then us in this league9 -
The good thing about that point is their manager will stay on for possibly a few more games and we have a point. If we had won, they may have got a decent new manager bounce and leapfrogged us.8

If he's on the fast food I'd hate to see him on slow food.O-Randy-Hunt said:My god we are awful. We didn't lose a must not lose game and the goal was fairly nice on the eye and results went our way in other games but we were dire.
Out of interest does Fevrier have a weird running technique or does he need to lay off the fast food?1 -
My third time posting pretty much the same thing on three PMT’s in the last 2 weeks… a Dykes and Leaburn partnership won’t score you goals at Championship level let alone win you games.
Frustrating lining up with those two, almost got away with it as anyone could see it needed a change at HT, bar for Lloyds injury. Definitely missed his organisation at the goal which goes without saying was shocking marking, let’s hope he’s ok and not out for too long.
BFK did pretty well IMO, never easy coming on as a CB. Shout out to Ramsay for the sublime ball and a classy finish for Dykes.
Given the way things were going on the pitch as well as in the other games, come 60 mins would’ve bit your hand off for a point.
Two home games on the spin, let’s finally pull away a bit, PLEASE! COYR.3 -
I really don’t see how you have come to the conclusion Sichenje isn’t ready, I think he looks ok and will improve, he replaced our runaway player of the season and didn’t embarrass himself at all.CAFC_boi said:A must not lose and we didn’t but that was utterly abysmal.West Brom by far the better team.Fevrier was terrible, had a fridge on his back and 50p boots on.Sichenje is not ready.Never want to see Leaburn and Dykes up front together again. Dykes is actually a quality player, very impressed by him. It’s terrible and ugly football but looks like it will keep us up by the skin of our teeth. However I expect much much more and better football next season. Otherwise what’s the point.Funny to be so annoyed after the result we prayed for but that performance was shocking. It’s a results business though. Goodnight.24 -
Cov's last ditch tackle tackle near the end was a point saver.
Great first touch and finish by Dykes. Good point but we are so poor with the ball.
Jones ankle got to be a worry going forward?
Bring on the Hollywood Taffs - we will probably beat them now on Saturday!!

Sod it, go to the cinema for entertainment, fucking appalling performance, but meh, for a point, and we’re staying up4
-
Eh confused as to a lot of comments digging out Fevrier, thought he looked positive and helped us move it forward largely but game of opinions I suppose21
-
I know they ran their socks off on Saturday but that was 90 odd minutes of nothing. Weird substitutions, ten minutes into the second half, I don't think Coady is gonna help you chase the game, so why keep him there for ten minutes ? Two chances and we scored with one of them, West Brom are bloody awful, Charlton and the ref made the conscious to join them in their dross, I think if West Brom don't change their Manager, I will confidently predict that they will finish below us.0
-
Wow that was awful - can't string any passes together. Terrible to watch.
We are undoubtedly the worst team I've seen in the Championship this season... Surely we can play better than this?8 -

Martinspringle said:The positive thing about being in a relegation battle, is that the teams around you are equally bad and lose. Think Jones wants to draw our way to safetyI'll be delighted with twelve 0-0 draws from our remaining games playing the most pony football imaginable. That was really awful though!

He will as coady can’t play against Wrexhamjakecafc said:Also, I thought Coventry had a point to prove when he came on. Should definitely be starting next game.8 -
Thought Coventry was good and Dykes battled.
Shichenje impressed my with his ability to pass between the lines. We desperately needed that.
Bell was solid down the left. Ramsay was much better second half.
That's about it for positives. First half was poor tactics and team selection again. We looked pedestrian and predictable. Nothing on target and nothing particularly close. Couldn't even work set pieces.
We definitely struggle against the poorer sides and play better against the better sides for a reason. We're a side set up to be defensively solid and look to hit teams on the counter or on the set piece. WBA didn't deserve the level of credit we gave them tonight, especially in the first half. They looked brittle as soon as we got the ball down and played. It's just that we only did it for about five minutes in the second half.
We will need to be better than that, either this season or next depending on if we stay up. We can't keep inviting the weaker teams onto us just to lump it forward to two target men. Defenses at this level are good enough in the air that they won't be dominated (see also: Pompey) and the lack of movement makes it easy for opposition midfielders to win the seconds.
Overall, a poor performance, a massive point. One closer to 50. Hopefully Jones learned about the Leaburn and Dykes pairing tonight as well. Hopefully.4 -
My watch buzzed halfway through the first half to ask me if I was stressed! I had to have a word and tell it that if it was watching the fucking shite, I'm watching, it would be stressed too.17
-
Before the game I really wanted 3 points. After that performance, I'm grateful for the 1 point which keeps WBA down there.
A very good goal completely out of keeping with the rest of our performance, a quality ball forward to the feet of a striker, who controls it excellently and nutmegs the keeper. Sadly we reverted back to mediocrity after that 30 second burst of football.
WBA play pleasant football, but aren't clinical, and that's why they're down there.
The lose of Jones is worrying as he's such an aerial colossus, and we'll probably face Keiffer Moore on Saturday. Ramsay played well though, and Sichenje looked sharp in the tackle. It was good that his debut was from the start on Saturday, not as a sub tonight. Coventry was decent when he came on, he looked much more like his usual self.
Chambers looked a bit lost tonight, not contributing in attack at all, but also not being that tight defensively.5 -
Excruciatingly painful watch, but a point is a point and denying West Brom all 3 was huge.
West Brom's remaining fixtures are horrible. Can't see where a win is coming from for them.2 -
Rhetorical question .. what’s happened to the team that beat Ipswich and played so well earlier in the season. Can’t blame injuries, we’re back to full strength. Baffling 😕5
-
Tough game to endure. They looked there for the taking in the first 15 mins and we did nothing. So they grew into the game and scored, then got a load of confidence.Thank god Dykes has got a bit of guile and a pair of shooting boots. Great pass by Ramsay and Fevrier's duck was sublime.2
-
A point is fine and results went our way but the performance is very worrying. Struggling to see where the wins will come from.
Fear for us against Wrexham if Jones isn't fit1 -
4-3-3 saturday?!0

That 94th min reclycled ball that was caught bang centre edge of the box, on the volley, was sooooo close to being the winner. West Brom will be gutted tonight.
We robbed them of that point.

I think Sichenje was bought because he has excellent attributes we can develop. I doubt we wanted to rely on him so soon, but whilst a bit raw, he has done very well and could be a great buy for us I think.15
-
Waiting for the train back to Birmingham and I'm amazed we've got a point out of that.
They won't play a worse team all season. If they had any quality in the final third and they would have battered us.
There is going to have to be an insane amount of investment in the summer because we are lacking in quality in pretty much every single position.

We set up for an ugly point and delivered, so important to keep the gap to WBA who I think are favourites to go down; fancy Oxford to beat them Saturday and their run in looks tough. COYR0

Well that was needlessly stressful. West Brom are terrible but looked better than us for a lot of it. They absolutely should have scored a second but they didn't have the confidence to finish any of their chances when they came. We were always going to get one chance and it fell to Dykes who seems to be some kind of wizard for us. No idea how he got that chance and squeezed it in but he did and that's now 2 goals and 3 assists in 9 games. He's now contributed as many goals and more assists than Olaofe and Apter did combined. Great bit of January business and he's the player no-one wanted us to sign. Jones is clearly still dreaming of how good we looked against Leicester when Leaburn and Dykes started but it has to stop now. It's just not happening and it's putting more pressure on the rest of the team. Give me TC and Dykes or Kelman and Dykes from the start and keep the ball a tiny bit lower. Teams have clearly realised they can't give our wingbacks any space and we need to start setting traps that will allow Bell and Ramsay to play past them as they're both good on the ball and as we saw with Ramsay today can make something happen in that half space.I don't really want to think about it too much anymore, we only gained on the teams around us and didn't lose our must not lose game. That's another gameday slipped away from our rivals and no-one any closer to overtaking us. Let's just hope we can catch Boro at the height of their wobble and get a ridiculous win there or something. Tough games to come but a few more hard-fought draws like this, an unexpected win and a result against Wendies and we should come out of this the other side9

The starting line up didn’t work, but I think as long as it was goalless then NJ was happy. Fair play to NJ for switching it after going behind and we looked better, not by much, but it was enough to get back in it. We’ve got to remember, we’ve got the 3rd worst player budget in the league and currently we’re not in the bottom three. Onwards!3

At least he tried to move forwards with the ball, I think people have decided he’s not very good because he’s not as quick as expected.YannTheMann said:Eh confused as to a lot of comments digging out Fevrier, thought he looked positive and helped us move it forward largely but game of opinions I suppose7 -
probably because wba are shit as wellcafcnick1992 said:A genuinely terrible performance. I have no idea how we've stolen a point there.1
