Well done. Let everyone show their appreciation of AFKA's efforts to safeguard this site by "liking" his post.AFKABartram said:Hi all, just got the below message through from our Frameworks Team:
I’m afraid we are getting system warnings generated that we’ve exceeded our Like / LOL tolerances.
As an urgent response action to bring back within framework parameters, I’d appreciate if everyone can go back to @eastterrace6168 post and remove their Like or LOL.
Thanks

I've rescinded my LOL from @eastterrace6168 and given it to you instead @AFKABartram. Hope that's ok?AFKABartram said:Hi all, just got the below message through from our Frameworks Team:

I’m on holiday abroad and watched the Birmingham game - good decision, great win - I’m probably gonna watch this but the thought of helping Millwall close in on the automatics leaves me feeling a bit half hearted about the game - if we hadn’t won Saturday I’d be 100%
praying for a win but I’m sure we can afford to roll over tonight then turn it on Saturday, can’t we ? I love Charlton more than I hate Millwall but there ain’t much in it tbh1 -
Sorry AFKA...

I think one or two people might have noticed that, somehow!DOUCHER said:I’m on holiday abroad and watched the Birmingham game - good decision, great win - I’m probably gonna watch this but the thought of helping Millwall close in on the automatics leaves me feeling a bit half hearted about the game - if we hadn’t won Saturday I’d be 100%

This talk of free hit, lose tonight and win on Saturday I keep hearing.
THIS IS CHARLTON we do not win games against relegation rivals. Dreading Oxford and Wednesday4 -

Was there a game recently the coach was stuck in traffic and the players were late, had to walk the last bit?CombeMartin said:
I talked to our "Valley Express from Ramsgate" coach driver when he dropped me after the Brum game, hadn't seen him before. He said he always drives the team coach to the away games and they nearly all involve an overnight stay (which includes him) and some a hotel before and after the game. That will include this Boro away game, and will include Oxford before the game.Fortune 82nd Minute said:The scheduling of our longest away trip 3 days before a 12.15 ko is nuts. Don't know if they can do it but the club should put in a complaint and insist it doesn't happen again.
The mechanics of the teams travel fascinates me. Do they travel up Tuesday and stay the night or go up on the Wednesday? If the latter, however they choose to travel - even flying - is going to mean a relatively early start.
Do they stay up there after the game and have a relatively comfortable journey back on the Thursday? If they come back after the match, I doubt anyone will be back in bed much before 4am. Hardly the perfect preparation for a game in 2 days time. Either way leaves only one full day preparation for the vital Oxford game.
Anyone know what the team is actually doing as regards travelling?
He also added that it (surprisingly) includes some local derbys. I suppose with the traffic levels we get these days they cant afford to get stuck in a silly traffic jam and be late.
It came up on the match thread for the West Brom game a fortnight ago.0 -

Beat oxford 1-0

I think your arguement is flawed

When was the last time we scored from outside the box?Feels like we must be due one soon1

For anyone interested, the poll ended 23/23, so a score draw, so maybe we better leave it to Nathan, and look forward to another score draw tonight...👌1

Carey at Ipswich??AFKABartram said:When was the last time we scored from outside the box?Feels like we must be due one soon0 -
Boro at the Valley have been one of the best sides I've seen this season. Don't expect us to get much tonight but have a sneaky feeling we'll get a point to help Millwall promotion charge. It's the Charlton way1

Saturday, Kelman.AFKABartram said:When was the last time we scored from outside the box?Feels like we must be due one soon
Oh, you mean outside the penalty box, not the 6-yard box ...2 -
Carey at Southampton a couple of weeks ago was just outside the box I think?AFKABartram said:When was the last time we scored from outside the box?Feels like we must be due one soon1 -
When when was the last time a Charlton player scored a hat trick in a proper first team game?0

Don't know that one, but iirc I'm sure Ronnie Rosenthal scored a perfect hat trick, left foot, right foot and header at The Valley for Liverpool, not sure the year though...jose said:When when was the last time a Charlton player scored a hat trick in a proper first team game?0 -

Ricky Holmes at Shrewsbury? (Is Shrewsbury ever a proper game?)jose said:When when was the last time a Charlton player scored a hat trick in a proper first team game?0 -
Sadly I think we need to park the bus and try to get that extra point. I honestly think it may take 53 to stay up this year, hope i'm wrong. I just cant see Leicester going down and with the Oxford upturn It might be one of those seasons where 4th bottom is only 5 points off mid table.
Goes against my instinct which is to go for it, play 442, fullah and campbell on wings, coventry carey in the middle and Dykes and Kelman up front. They wont expect it or have set up for it, so at least we score before we lose 5-1!!0 -
If Rosenthal scored a hat-trick for Liverpool against us it wouldn't have been at The Valley as we were at Sellout Park when we were in old Div One and he'd moved on by the time we returned to the top flight in 1998.eastterrace6168 said:

Tariq Fosu at Fleetwood? Circa October 2017. The Snake scored a hat trick in the FA Cup against Mansfield in 2019 as well if we're including cup games.Busterblitz said:

not sure about that back 3, think we have one eye on Oxford already.

I think it’s safe to say NJ taking this as a free hit. Resting all 3 CB!
I guess no pressure and players with a point to prove might help us sneak a point. I think other games tonight will be interesting, I don’t fancy going to Oxford if they win tonight and have won 3 on the bounce.0 -
Sorry, I think all he said was about not having the money to fly. Don't know why I forgot train was an option!SoundAsa£ said:
For the journey up on the day I would have thought a train would be better, fast trains out of Kings X…….about 3 hours.PeaksAndValleys said:
He said they were going up Tuesday night to stay over. Afterwards he said Thursday would be the recovery day, I wasn't sure if he meant they would go back Wed eve and have Thurs off or that they would travel back Thurs and not do anything else. He mentioned we aren't one of the teams that can afford to fly, so it's a coach there and backFortune 82nd Minute said:The scheduling of our longest away trip 3 days before a 12.15 ko is nuts. Of course I doubt a journey back wouldn’t be feasible until Thursday morning.
It’s a bloody long way by coach.☹️0 -
True this, I was at sellout for this it was 0-4, slimline John Barnes got the 4th if I recall?Briston_Addick said:
