Obviously, that defence is awful. But I am really excited to see Kelman and Leaburn playing together again. It felt like they were really starting to form a partnership before Dykes came in.
Ypu must be joking it’s only Dykes that has kept us going. Suicidal team selection. We loose at Oxford we are done.

Bell plays tonight, get injured or off the back of the game and travel isn’t right for Oxford, the hysterics would be off the chart.

May as well try and make a bit of money out of this then 😂

Fully agree with resting players though tbf
  • That is the strongest bench in years (& years). Great to rest and protect Jones. Keen to see how Coady manages the back five and supports Gough. Chambers off 60 minutes for TC/Fevrier (please)

I doubt we would have got much out of the game full strength. Sensible management imo.
Just said to my son that it's a game of football between 2 Championship sides. We're not playing Barcelona or Real Madrid ffs  !!
    And we’re better than Spurs!

Not surprised by that team selection, could tell from NJs comments after Saturday about a Wednesday night to Saturday early kickoff turnaround that he'd do something like this. Only surprise is no JRC over Doc.

The bus is well and truly parked.

I didn’t say signing Dykes was a bad decision. I just said that it felt like they were starting to work well together.

I think you might be slightly overreacting.
  • I have seen previous traffic on travel arrangements. I really hope we stay over after match tonight, then coach to 'Oxford' tomorrow for Saturday

That lineup might be the most sensible team NJ’s picked all season

Oxford, Leicester and Blackburn all got a point at Boro

Its gonna be a long night with the pace in that back 3.

But if Nathan thinks this means we'll win at wknd then so be it, I wouldn't change a winning team unless you're forced to personally but even a full strength team would find it hard away against Middlesborough playing the way they are at present
Bell is fragile injury wise; Lloyd is on 4 yellows and Dykes needs a rest. I think its a hard but necessary choice

Obviously some risk in the selection, but I support it and am confident that we can get a result on Saturday, when we only really need a draw.

The only thing they have  got going is not scoring together. Overreacting I’m flabbergasted at his selection.

I fear for the worse with this line up. The back three are slower than a snail on Valium.

This is the right choice. Saturday is the more winnable game

It always amazes me how Charlton Athletic is limited to just a few players!! - Doesn't matter who is named in the 20-man squad, full support!!

I think Leaburn will spend a lot of time clearing headers out of our box tonight.

Blimey, what would you be saying if we were actually in the bottom three? (Which we haven't been all season...)

    Bleddy 'ell.
    Jonesey has thrown this one.

Following in the footsteps of Jose Riga from backalong.

Riga steered us to relegation safety by picking his very strongest side for the 'winnable games', especially the 6-pointers.......and resting key players for games against promotion contenders.

    Step forward Nathan Riga :)

Absolutely zero margin for not winning the Oxford game now
  • Can't see us holding out for long with that defence but hope springs eternal? 3-0

Same people defending a broken Collins being left on against Wrexham, are now moaning about players being rested.

Weve just had a very busy month and have some big games coming up, I think Jones had made a good call tonight.
