Only the second time we’ve had a Clarke long throw, and it was a rocket. I don’t understand why he doesn’t take all of them.
  • Might have this printed out and framed

That’s why Nathan Jones picks the team and not me. 😊

They really are a bunch of cocks. They don’t care but a fair few of them read this forum and refer to it.

I grew up with Millwall in the family and spent many years drinking in a Millwall pub (that had a decent Charlton contingent and it was all good fun) but get them in a little echo chamber and they really come into there own (pun intended).

What a gritty performance and confidence in our defensive resolve. Our entire game was built to focus on how we could extract 3 points.

The only negative...the transfer market is now aware that Harry Clarke possesses a bullet-like throw-in!

PWR but after draining the bottle of Lidl's finest ... B)

What an unbelievable backs to the wall performance from our brave lads ! Absolute heroes, each & every one .

My old 'ead's in a bit of a mess as I try to come to terms with what we've witnessed tonight so I'll keep it short & sweet ( like AFKA ....) .. in fact I'm in danger of losing the plot so will merely add that although it's very difficult to choose a MOM tonight, for me, it has to be Doc. Bless his cotton socks.

Onwards & upwards with our mad as a box of frogs gaffer & his merry men ! What a team !

On the Match Thread just after the line up was released and everybody was reacting and some laughing, I posted:

'Football is a funny old game. This XI might surprise you. COYR.'

What a win. Win at Oxford and that is safety confirmed, but over this set of games Pompey, WBA and Blackburn have dropped points and we have won yet again. Unreal from Jones and the boys. How many teams can bring the likes of Ramsay, Lloyd Jones and Lyndon Dykes off the bench in this league?! The squad depth we have is unreal!!!

Just watched the highlights. Mannion look a strong bet for MotM. Awful miss by Kelman. Coady’s delight is plain to see.

I did not watch the game have been out, so very happy with 3pts, but the BBC stats are shocking. They had 34 shots to our 5, they had 277 successful passes in the final third to our 24, they won 76.9% of tackles to our 53.4%, and so on.
We can not expect to win many more games if keep to stats like that. the one are I guess Borough were useless at was hit the goal.
Have a look at that…. That’s all you need to know! 1 clear cut chance! 1! Il tell you again….1 clear cut chance out of 34!

40 years a fan. This was the first game that I couldn’t watch. Don’t know why but had to leave the room for the second half and couldn’t come back. Hopefully can now enjoy the rest of the season (once we get past Oxford).

I think it is worth mentioning that Boro do play some lovely football. I think they just overcook it a bit too much but they are a good footballing side and you have to give credit to our players for defending so brilliantly.

It’s a really good save from Kelman

Whats that sailing up whatever the hell the river next to Middlesbrough is...
We dont care, the battleship certainly doesnt care if its River or High Street, the signals once said: "Every man must do his duty"... Now they're saying: "Nathan Jones what a f**king masterclass"
The guns they're firing... Because Middlesbrough... You've been SUNK!!

So we got the boat out of that canal in Birmingham!
  • Typical Charlton. Give the spanners false hope and go on an unbeaten run to sneak into the play offs and stuff their promotion up.

Not sure what’s worse, you looking on there at the time we’ve won or him on here. 😂

  • Despite what the stats say, that was as focused a defensive performance as you're likely to see, and an entirely deserved win.

That's exactly how I see it.
Hayden Hackney's attempt near the end was awful because he didn't make Mannion work and completely scuffed it.
