So many on CL don't notice what he does off the ball.8 -
They are such a bunch of w**kers! One good season in a topsy turvy league and they are harping on like they are prime Barca! Bar Azeez they are just a team of sloggers who would get torn apart in the prem! Hope they fuck it up! Boro are streets ahead of Millwall in ability!IAgree said:

I’m as excited as a terribly excited person who has a really good reason for being terribly excited.11

Football. Bloody hell.1

One thing that's guaranteed is the scum are nailed on for relegation next season, if they get promoted this season.robroy said:

I know what you mean.I thought that the line up was picked with Saturday in mind, but what do I know?SporadicAddick said:40 years a fan. This was the first game that I couldn’t watch. Don’t know why but had to leave the room for the second half and couldn’t come back. Hopefully can now enjoy the rest of the season (once we get past Oxford).I can’t remember a defensive performance as good as that, the concentration levels were incredible.Back it up with more quality when we have the ball will make us as hard to beat as we were last season.Oh and keep Mannion in the team1 -
Agreed with the above, was a bloody stressful watch.Amazing result, well done to NJ, the team and most importantly the fans that made the journey.7

Totally gobsmacked! So pleased for our fans at the game. Hats off!1

Could it be that we scored from Carey's long throw against Birmingham on Saturday!
Both Sonny and Harry can share the load.0 -
Very proud of that display. It was such a weird game having hardly any of the ball I really was never concerned that they would score. A stereotypical NJ result !!0

"The Riverside Stadium and 3 points."

Unbelievable stuff and up there as the best result of the season. An absolute Nathan Jones backs-to-the-wall masterclass. Buzzing (and trying to ignore that we just helped out M***wall).5
-
And a special word of praise for Coady.
Marshalled the defence superbly and even found time to pop up front and score a good strikers' goal!
How ironic the commentator said earlier he hadn't scored in the Championship since 2017.
Will be fascinating to see if Jones tries to keep him for another year.17 -
Charlton have a habit of surprising you. Lets hope they get it right on Saturday against Oxford!
Fantastic result tonight.3 -

Wow.
On a train back to my hotel in York, having passed the really handy beer kiosks just outside the station for a much needed pint.
Complete agony the second half, with Boro having almost all the possession and almost all the shots, but us having 30 seconds of decisive attacking play
But great keeping and a low block defensive masterclass, combined with lousy Boro finishing.
I was grumpy about our starting line-up, as i had confidence we could get something out of the game by parking the bus, which Boro struggle against, but the starting back 3 were excellent. It has to be said, that the replacements were even better, Ramsay and Bell are quality defenders.
I would have got long odds in August, if i had bet on seeing Charlton wins at Ipswich, Leicester and Boro this season, but that's the joy of football

Result of the season for me. The Ipswich win was superb, but to go up there on a Wednesday night in March, our 37th game of a long, hard season that’s certainly been a hard slog since October, and get a win, hats off to all of them.
I was apoplectic after Millwall and wanted Jones gone. I still had my doubts post Pompey and WBA, but I’ll eat my humble pie and admit I got it wrong. He’s done an amazing job and earned the right to be given another crack at next season, and hopefully more funding.
Alright, Tanto, Apter haven’t worked out and we spent good money, and there’s question marks over JRC and Knibbs, but we’ve adapted in the Jan window and arguably Clarke, Coady, Dykes and Chambers have been excellent additions. The purists might say he squandered the money, but we gambled with good summer signings on paper that didn’t work out. It happens
I just want to get to 50 asap and start building for next season. We’ve got to find a way to keep the approach that has gotten us 13 clean sheets this season (that’s a ridiculously good stat btw), and find the quality that will enable us to score more at this level.47 points is one less than we went down with in 19/20 and we’ve got there with 9 games left. Superb. The timing of the win with Oxford and Leicester winning is fantastic as well. If you’re a Leicester, WBA, Oxford, Blackburn or Pompey fan, you’re not looking at the table and thinking, Charlton are still in it with us.A great night for the fans and the club.27 -
You can coach defending only to an extent. You need competent operators. All of our defenders are supremely competent and fantastic at execution. It’s a far cry from the days of Terrell Thomas and Ryan Inniss.10

msomerton said:I did not watch the game have been out, so very happy with 3pts, but the BBC stats are shocking. They had 34 shots to our 5, they had 277 successful passes in the final third to our 24, they won 76.9% of tackles to our 53.4%, and so on.
We can not expect to win many more games if keep to stats like that. the one are I guess Borough were useless at was hit the goal.
Think yourself lucky you had something better to do and didn't have to sit through that crap. Proves how Jones still doesn't know his best starting 11. Lucky tonight, and key players got Jones out of jail. Sick of these narrow wins.27 -
Like many others i didn't expect us to get anything tonight, but that was a great defensive performance despite all the omissions so full marks to NJ. No surprise if Mannion keeps his place on Saturday.0
-
So was in 400 addicks in attendance or the 700-800 per number of tickets 'apparently' sold?0
-
It's great that we've closed the gap between us and second place, but sad to see we mathematically, finally have to give up the chance of winning the league, thanks to Coventry winning.3
