Everything has been said. That was great. So much more confident with Mannion in goal. Great management by Nathan tonight. He called the team exactly right. I don't sleep well at the best of times. I'm far too pumped tonight to sleep.

PWR but after draining the bottle of Lidl's finest ... B)

What an unbelievable backs to the wall performance from our brave lads ! Absolute heroes, each & every one .

My old 'ead's in a bit of a mess as I try to come to terms with what we've witnessed tonight so I'll keep it short & sweet ( like AFKA ....) .. in fact I'm in danger of losing the plot so will merely add that although it's very difficult to choose a MOM tonight, for me, it has to be Doc. Bless his cotton socks.

Onwards & upwards with our mad as a box of frogs gaffer & his merry men ! What a team !

    Fanny loves them All  <3
I’m pretty sure they all love Fanny too😜

I did not watch the game have been out, so very happy with 3pts, but the BBC stats are shocking. They had 34 shots to our 5, they had 277 successful passes in the final third to our 24, they won 76.9% of tackles to our 53.4%, and so on.
We can not expect to win many more games if keep to stats like that. the one are I guess Borough were useless at was hit the goal.

Think yourself lucky you had something better to do and didn't have to sit through that crap. Proves how Jones still doesn't know his best starting 11. Lucky tonight, and key players got Jones out of jail. Sick of these narrow wins.
    Irony ?
    Sarcasm ?

You can coach defending only to an extent. You need competent operators. All of our defenders are supremely competent and fantastic at execution. It’s a far cry from the days of Terrell Thomas and Ryan Inniss.
That’s not that long ago !

When I saw the line-up I thought that Jones had chucked the towel in for this one, leaving out Ramsey, Jones and Bell suggested he was keeping our powder dry for Saturday at Oxford, and I thought we had no chance.

Therefore, I nearly choked on my morning tea when I saw we were 1-0 up, and was stunned when we held on, the only shame is we have done the Spanners a massive favour.

Jones is a top, top manager, he just needs the right environment.

Surprised its not been mentioned, but thats the first time we've won back to back games since October
Ironically the second win was the 3-0 victory at Portman Road
At halftime, I said to Mr F that this could be another Ipswich.

The home side dominating possession with lots of attempts on goal but not scoring, then the 2nd half where we came into our own.

Different circumstances but 3 pts the prize all the same.

  • Need the whole table - we're only 10 points off the play-offs and this was the second of a run of eleven consecutive 1-0 wins.
Only 7 points off the playoffs under next season's rules!

This was our 20th win by 1-0 in the last two seasons - 97 matches in total. Even if one was to say the average price for us winning by that score was only 8/1, that is still a massive level stakes profit.

Not pretty to watch & it's not football as I know it.

But I'll take the 3 points & walk on.

To a man they played their hearts out. Can't single anyone out as MOTM but shout outs to Cov, Clarke & Mannion. Ramsey & Bell showed their class in the last 10 mins & Coady's legs have gone.........

into the 6 yard box to win us the game. 😀
  • As soon as the game finished I got a COYR from Australia and a thank you from a Millwall supporting mate seems everyone is buzzing with the result. Will now renew the five season tickets for me and the grandchildren as confident it will be Championship football next year. Only time I doubted us was after the Millwall debacle but I should have known better Nathan Jones is our best manager since Curbs and tonight was an absolute masterclass.

I won't sleep tonight as I'm buzzing and I'm so pleased that Middlesbrough were sharp up front against QPR scoring 4 yet but couldn't get their shots or headers on target tonight. Greats blocks and one outstanding save from Mannion but to get 3 points we were grateful that Castledine the sub missed 3 headers that were good chances. Matt off Targett in the 1st half when Whittaker put him off and the vital touch from Mannion on to the crossbar.

It reminded me of an evening game at Norwich when we mugged the Canaries 1-0 with our only attack with a grass cutter from JJ. Backs to wall victory as they just couldn't hit the target. All our SIX CB's played their part from Coady's 90+ to Lloyd's 3 minutes.

Nathan said we kept giving the ball away so it's just as well we defended well !

Vital 3 points and 9 points ahead of danger with 9 games to go.

Bloody hell was not expecting that. On nights tonight and just got in and dished out the jobs.

My time now for a bit. Always sleep for a couple of hours before work and woke up at 22-15 and thought well best look and see, couldn't believe when i half put the TV remote over the screen and saw they had scored zilch. Then when i saw ONE...gonna be one of the best night shifts ever.

Then looked at the line up...had i seen that before hand i would have thought here comes a bruising and resting players for Saturday. Just seen the highlights and how did we get away with that...but we did. Well done lads and safe journey home to those that went.

    Same again Saturday please.

  • The way Coady got across the defender for his goal was brilliant. Both Godden and Kelman would be proud of that in the box. First class goal!

Two nights this season I've had to run Beaver Scouts before a Charlton game
Thats two wins 1-0... FA at the f**king near post with the assist, for Coady to slot it home... YOU'RE WELCOME BITCHES!!

I did the same thing when I woke up on 60mins, using my finger over my phone screen. Absolutely buzzing, no worries that it means I’ve been awake since 5am

Mental that if we'd have beaten Wrexham like we probably should have done that game we'd be 4 points off the playoffs.
