Agreed but i suspect that apart from them not really knowing where to turn to for their next interim manager, there isn't much point getting someone in at 1-2 days notice for a game they'll likely lose anyway. 

I'm pretty sure Liverpool will be his last game and there will be a new man in charge for the 2nd leg with Atletico and the huge game next Sunday with Forest.
