  • You lot moaning about the quality of this match is making the CharltonTV crew seem like they are doing a fantastic job, because I'm very much enjoying listening to this turgid encounter at the moment.

Much better corner from Carey but no one gets on the end of it.

Another Clarke throw launched into the box, more head tennis and eventually out for a goal kick.

Ideal game for a pacey winger to have a go. Get Fev on for TC

HT 0-0. Not exactly inspiring football but it'll do

OXford launch it up our left, Jones goes across to clear, now they come down our right. Emaku crosses, Mannion parries and grabs before it goes out for a corner.

Nobody should have to pay to watch games like this. There should be laws…

Oxford doing to us defensively what we do to
other teams. And a draw is perfectly fine for us.

Though to not even have a shot does feel a bit criminal.

  • Usual story.

    Defence rock solid.

Some nice ticky-tacky football usually ending with a whack forward .

    And no bite up front

Oxford are poor. We really should get to 50 points today and then enjoy the rest of the season.
  • This a L1 level match being played in a L1 level ground. One bit of quality is all that is needed. TC off for Kelman please?

    100% this.

People expecting this to be anything but a scrappy game with limited chances haven’t been paying attention this season

For all his critics, TC is the player being picked out by the Sky comms as a threat. I agree he's been poor on the ball and that him being highlighted says more about the game than him

Pretty sure a lot of you must have preferred the likes of Ben Garner being in charge, 17th in League One but at least we had "shots on target" FFS

Think this is the worst game of football I've ever watched 🤣
I actually think we have played quite well

passed it well and controlled the game

we just need a goal now
We aren't playing badly, but I don't remember either team getting anywhere near the oppositions box. Don't think anyone has even had a shot until just now from oxford, which was going miles wide. We have probably been the better team, but team seems to have any attacking intent

Never thought I would say this - but the biggest risk to Charlton is someone doing a Charlton on us.

Honestly in a game and a half they are the worst team I have seen us play by a country mile. Is they don’t go down there is no way in a million years we can - regardless of the score today.

As expected tbh. They need it more than us so hopefully they give it more of a go second half and leave a few gaps open.

Get anyone on for TC, he's been awful.
What must Charlie Kelman be thinking watching his performance?
  • Think this one is crying out for JRC. We are actually trying to play it about a bit and some of it isn't bad, but just let down by a lack of quality every time.

Also surprised we haven't had more joy from the set plays. We have had enough first contacts and balls bouncing in the box, somehow never falling even for a shot
