A lot have been questioning Slot but he hasn't been helped at all by Salah's form dropping off a cliff and most of their summer signings being a disaster.
Isak - started the season unfit and then got injured
Wirtz - hasn't really settled
Frimpong - always injured
Kerkez - nothing like his Bournemouth performances
Leoni - injured
Ekitike - the only success
Slot will obviously get the blame but personally i think the owners need to bear some of the blame. If they bought Ekitike, why did they even need to spend 125m on Isak? Or just buy Isak and don't bother with Ekitike. Should've used that money to buy a replacement for Luis Diaz. Could've got Semenyo for 60m. They've missed Diaz a lot as Gakpo just doesn't offer the same output from that left side. And then to top it off they waited and waited and left the signing of Guehi until deadline day when they should've got it done far sooner and given Palace time to get a replacement. They spent over 400m and somehow managed to leave the team short in two key areas.6 -
