How many new managers first game have we faced, or managers sacked after playing us this season? Must be some kind of record.
  • Let’s hope there’s no bounce just like at Sheff Utd when we played them in Wilders return.

We must have put the frighteners on a lot of clubs thus season. That or Struber didn't want to sit through 90 mins of purgatory  & got himself sacked 😂

    This is actually true.
I think young people would ask WTAF?

    Pre season switches:

    Watford (H) : Paulo Pezzolano’s 1st match

    Bristol City (A) : Gerhard Struber’s 2nd match

    Leicester (H) : Marti Cifuentes’ 3rd match

Out of 10 manager changes in the summer, Charlton faced 3 in their first 3 games

    ——

    & in season switches:

    Sheff Utd (A) : Chris Wilder’s 1st match

    Southampton (H) : Tonda Eckert’s 3rd match

    Swansea (H) : Alan Sheehan’s 3rd last match

    Middlesbrough (H) : Kim Hellberg’s 2nd match

    Oxford (H) : Gary Rowett’s last match

    Leicester (A) : Andy King’s 1st match (as interim)

West Brom (A) : Eric Ramsay’s last match

    Bristol City (H) : Roy Hodgson’s 1st match

8 out of 13 total manager switches have been before or after facing Charlton (the other five: Manning to Clement at Norwich, Watford x2 (Pezzulano to Gracia & Gracia to Still), Mason to Ramsay at West Brom, Ismael to O’Neill at Blackburn)

That must be an unusually high number

Bristol City terrified of facing the Mighty Addicks trying to get a bit of that "new manager bounce" via Hodgson.
    Unbelievable.

I assume they think Hodgson is the right person to evaluate the squad and setup,  but it's a bizarre switch to have him as the actual 1st team manager.

Bristol City have gone off the boil,  but then they sold 2 of their best players in January.

Well at least we know how they will play with Hodgson. 442 with inverted wingers and two holding midfielders.  All passes out wide and then down the line.

Wonder how much he's getting for 7 games?

  • Roy when he sees Charlton's low block

Bizarre appointment as they're not going down and won't make the play offs, so their season is effectively over.

Surely one of the coaching staff or even the academy manager could just step in for the final 7 matches.

Old head to come in and have a look at the squad and see what needs fixing. Pretty sure he lives in the south west too

I’m going to say it will be at the very least seventy quid
