It's his style of play -Chris_from_Sidcup said:
I agree he deserved to start this season after winning them a trophy but let's not pretend like Ange is a managerial genius. He was awful at Forest, in charge for 8 games and didn't win any.mascot88 said:Such karma for Big Ange -
He should have had another season after breaking the Cup drought.
To see them collapse and lose 250 Million will be spectacular.
I am biased as I have watched Ange here in Australia and once he gets it to work it can be fantastic football.
He got it to click a few times at Spurs and with the right players and keeping them fit I think he would have done well there.
5th place finish in season one
17th season 2 but Europa win and Champs league secured season 2
He should have got the first 10 games to turn around the league form
I bet they wished they had now1 -
Quality of Spurs squad has got them where they currently find themselves. Ditto West Ham. The teams that get themselves out of the shit will be the ones that are together and dig deep. Not seen too much digging deep for either of those two clubs. It’ll no doubt go to the wire but both are definitely in deep do do.2

Technically Leicester's squad probably is too good to go down. They're in the bottom 3 because of a points deduction, and effectively need to get 56 points (maybe 57 if the PL win the appeal) to stay up.sam3110 said:

It means absolutely fuck all.
Leicester's squad is "too good to go down" and has been all season.
People keep saying the same thing about Spurs.
Doesn't matter how "good" the squad supposedly is if they can't actually win any football matches does it?!0 -
Anyone know why the PL is effectively having a mid-season break with the next games not until April 11th?0

They're also in the bottom three because the moment they concede a goal they crumple and concede a shed-load more. They've got the same amount of resolve as the Spuds.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

If they're that good the points deduction wouldn't have made any difference, they'd be well clear of the drop zone.

With or without a points deduction, Leicester squad has underperformed by a long way. If they go down, I hope the narrative is not the points deduction relegated them. They will have deserved to go down.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Also, their squad is 'too good' because they didn't play by the rules and spent too much money... hence the points deduction.7

If Leicester were that good they wouldn't be where they are, 6 points wouldn't have made much difference, take 6 points off Coventry where does that put them?0

Looks as if Tudor will be gone this week. De Zerbi is being heavily linked but there are doubts over whether he wants to join them now, or only in the summer if they stay up. If he doesn't join now they need to find yet another interim boss.1

Of course, its a real possibility that Spurs go down in a season where Arsenal win the Prem !2

And be actually relegated in their last but one game at Chelsea on the day when Arsenal pick up the PL trophy at the Emirates!Zulu said:Of course, its a real possibility that Spurs go down in a season where Arsenal win the Prem !0 -

And can you imagine this phenomenon next season? Every Championship club will treat it like a cup final. I think that if they go down, they’re in for a rude awakening. Most of their players will be off, and those that come in will be unaware that they’ll be playing teams that are constantly ’the best version of themselves.’JiMMy 85 said:I don't really watch PL games anymore and haven't seen Spurs play all season - so I watched the Palace game and realised, not only are they devoid of any real quality, but the players had the look of "well my agent will get me a move whatever happens to this club". I don't think there's anywhere near enough fight in that team. I don't know much about the others, but I find it hard to believe Forest and West Ham are as fucked as that Spurs squad is.
On top of that, every team that plays Spurs will want to help relegate them just for how funny it will be. Just like everyone wanted to stop them winning the PL in the Leicester season.
How many tickets do away teams get? Some clubs will want to be taking 10,000.1 -
I don’t think Garnacho will help them.Briston_Addick said:

The worst possible thing for Spurs is for them to lose their manager part-way through the international break. Get rid of him at the start of the break and you have a chance for the new person to start to work on the squad. Keep him throughout the break and you send a signal that he's going to be in charge for the rest of the season. But don't lose him in the middle weekend of the break. That's far too Spursy...

His departure today has to be balanced with a Spurs desirous of sensitivity in terms of the passing of his father. I am sure they will have been active behind the scenes for a successor to be announced expediently. They have extra time, given FA Cup next weekend, their next game is 12 April - Sunderland0

So, who's gonna be dumb enough to take over now?
Nobody in their right mind is going to be crawling over themselves to take over with a potential relegation on their cv - unless there is a significant financial inducement.1 -
Sol Campbell?Zulu said:So, who's gonna be dumb enough to take over now?5 -
There will be no relegation stain on a cv. Because they are in such a hole. And a rather pleasant bonus (negotiable) if he keeps them up1
