    Rosie with 4 birdies out of 5 to get a share of the lead, then on the next hole (par 3) he gets it all wrong, it’s heading straight for the bunker, but the ball bounces off the rake and ends up almost back on the green!

    Great play followed by great luck. That’s what you need to win!

    Edit: Unfortunately, he still bogeyed it, but he’s still playing great. Come on Rosie!

    Cant stand the odious prick Patrick Reed but hes playing very well. Rory started so well but having a bit of a wobble atm

    Rory then immediately does the same, while also getting 6 birdies out of 7.

    Just before Sky showed his chip they went to a break, and just as they did so you could hear a roar in the background. I thought there weren't many groups left on the course & the ones that were still playing weren't really in the mix so I had a feeling it was something special. Nipped to the loo in the 2 min break & came back into the room just as they showed Rory taking his 3rd shot.

    Even if Rory has a bad day tomorrow and hits a 74 or 75 he will still probably be in the top 2 or 3 going into the final round.

    At his best there is no current golfer better in the world than McIlroy.

    Remember, he hasn’t driven particularly well so far this week!

    Prior to working with Brad Faxon in 2018 McIlroy was ranked 159th in strokes gained/putting. He has steadily improved but the most interesting aspect now is how he is choosing to address the ball and putt with no practice swings - that has forced him to trust his ability, play on instinct and not allow time for outside thoughts to get in his head. No player has had less putts than McIlroy this week.

    Putting on instinct is a massive thing, they were talking about it on Sky the other day, just trusting the process

    Thought he hit a few loose shots and his driving was well below par. His short game was insane tho and that birdie on 17 will be iconic.

    Personally, I don’t care about PGA/LIV. It’s more about players.
    DeChambeau is the biggest bellend out there. Reed’s not much better.
    When you compare these to how nice a guy Justin Rose or Tommy Fleetwood is, it’s pretty stark.

    (By the way, this isn’t a Europe:good, USA:bad post. It just so happens the two biggest arseholes in golf are yanks. For balance, it seems Jon Rahm is a bit of a prick too, while Cam Young is apparently a very nice, down to earth guy.) ☺️

    2 USA players 
    1 uk or Ireland player 
    1 European player 
    1 rest of the world 

    was going well but had Dechambeou so score 90 for the last 2 rounds.

    Rory not off to a great start today. Bogeyed the 1st and in trouble on the 2nd. Meanwhile Reed is 2 under thru 2 to take him to 8 under,only 3 shots from Rory

    Mcilroy is having a mare today,really not playing well. Just put it in the water on 11 from the middle of the fairway. Lead was 3 but wont be after this hole🤦‍♂️

    Tomorrow is surely set up for Rose to repeat his final round of last year. As he's just said in an interview, he'll sleep well because he isn't out in front and there to be shot at and if he can play his best game then he has to have a decent chance.
