We may get absolutely fingered here.
Remember there's extra fingers given it's Ipswich

Its going to be a hard balance to find. Of course we take a point, and an ultra ULTRA defensive approach worked at Boro. I just wonder if we can pull it off twice. If thats the way we are going we are gonna need an outlet and ability to break at pace when they are throwing people forward. Maybe start with Godden but can see the likes of Campbell coming in to play as they leave more and more space on the counter as the game goes on.

If we just try and sit too deep then it wont work as Ipswich will deal with us better than Boro i feel.

We will be ripped to shreds tonight.

    1-4.

This (Ipswich) is the team that capitulated to Pompey and were overrun by Boro. Even the Ipswich pundits said Boro were by far the better team and deserved to win. At the very least I'm expecting us to draw tonight and I'm not ruling out an Addick's victory. Godden to score again and again.

After 64 years I'm fearing the worst.

    1971-2 all over again.

Extra bottle of Aussie Shiraz on standby whatever happens.

Think Ipswich will line up like this given the visit of a certain politician the other month -

Hope a decent turnout and a point to stay up
  • I cannot see our brutalist style of football getting anything from this game or the next two if I'm honest.

We've only just got all the tractor mud out of the car park from Bristol City & Norwich's visits

Think we'll see Coady drop into defence and Coventry start (unless he's injured but can't see anything). Also expect to see either JRC or Fevrier start at RWB.

    Kaminski
    Coady - Jones - Bell
    Fevrier - Coventry - Docherty - Chambers
    Carey
    Dykes - TC

Excellent Preview FA, when's the match thread up  ;)

Groundhog day, like our football as we crawl over the line on our belly, over broken glass, with our flies undone.

With Ipswich not having been "doubled" this season. I only seeing it going one way.

I'm not telling you which way though.
    A draw?

I think TC is essential tonight. We will be looking to hit them on the break so need his pace for that but also his pace is what will stop their defence from being able to play such a high line - they will be scared of his pace and hold a little deeper. Without him we lack pace and they can play mich higher.

Also with Ramsay and Chambers mostly likely as the wing backs - who both want to come inside rather than out wide we will lack width so TC breaking wide is the only way we get any width at all.

Without as much width we will resort to the long ball even more than usual. It’s not gonna be pretty. Proper brexit football. Let’s hope we can get the job done.
I’d love TC to be a bit more direct when he has the ball and use the momentum and speed to his advantage rather than stall and tentatively try to beat a man that he didn’t need to. I thought he was quite underused when he initially came off the bench on Saturday but he was pretty poor when we eventually started to use him. I’ve been a TC champion if you like, but recent performances have been hard to defend.

Really cannot stand Ipswich after a few beatings at their place and having not gone to the 3-0 this season. Would love to see them miss out on promotion but not to the extent that the Bermondsey boys go up.
Law of the unexpected says we will get our point tonight, not sure how after Saturday but we will, 1-1.

Can only see a bit of a hiding tonight 0-3
they will be really up for it whereas we are not exactly looking great recently. You never know with us though but whatever we are fine. I do wonder if a lot of the squad know they are leaving soon as there does seem something missing in recent games

I suspect we're not going to be 66/1 to go down by the time the ref puts us out of our misery.

We can relax a little tonight .. Ipswich have to win this game not sure a drawer would be ok for them , we already got 3 points of them this season probably more then 99% of supporters would have predicted so it’s a free hit .. especially as we are 99.9999% safe … couple of younger players on the bench

    Kaminski
    Sichenje - Jones - Gillesphey
    Ramsay - Coady - Docherty - Bell
    Knibbs
    Kelman - Godden

Substitutes: Mannion - Chambers  - Gough- Costello - Fevrier - Leaburn - Carey- Dixon  - Dykes

Going for 2-2 ………. Unless Ipswich score in the first 20 mins then 1-3

    How about a cupboard instead?

I'd take another 4-4 draw with Ipswich....for so many reasons.

The last one especially was bonkers. I do fear now though that if we were to draw with them 4-4 now that would be the aggregate score over four games.

I would be starting JRC. More composed on the ball that all our midfielders.
    BFK to start over Robo-Burke
