Jones is a mad bastard, where on earth has that team selection come from 😂3

Bang goes our three goal, goal difference superiority over Oxford.6

Some comments from the last time we had a really unexpected line up against a top end team (Boro)
Was quite looking forward to this but can't see anything other than a defeat now. Sorry to be negative and obviously hope I'm wrong.
Scary defence.
Looks like Jones is writing this one off.
Treating it like a 1st round cup tie against Cray Valley.
Personally think they’ll run right through us but more than happy to be proven wrong.
Ridiclous lineup that wtf
This could end up a cricket score.14 -
Is that a 4-4-2 line up...1

The last time I felt like this when I saw the line up was Middleborough away4

Because the starting 11 Saturday were brilliant weren't they. Give the team a chance before assuming the worse.superclive98 said:Hope he's just resting players for Saturday, because that is a dreadful starting 11.4 -

Expecting Bell and Fev as wing backs, TC and Charlie up top.1

Just walking to the ground, blimey the people of Ipswich aren’t lookers are they? The train was like an Attenborough documentary16

Last wtf line up was against Boro.
This has a similar vibe to it.
I do wonder how fit Chambers is. He only ever seems to last 60-70 minutes in matches (sometimes, but not always, that's been to move TC to LWB) and isn't playing twice in five days.
This lineup parks the bus, again, akin to Boro. No target man up front so we'll need to move the ball through TC and JRC through the midfield to get service to Kelman.
One way or another, tonight won't be pretty. Let's go out there and nick a draw and play Championship football next season!2 -
By all accounts, we played like muppets at Sheff Wed, so maybe half the team deserves the chop. I’m not letting the lineup wind me up before we’ve even kicked a ball.4

If anyone hears a high pitched whine, that's Bell's hamstrings upon seeing the starting formation.6 -

Obviously NJ looking for the result Saturday….can see us getting tonked here by 3 or 4…strange lineup0
-
Given that the game against Hull starts just 63 hours after this one ends, it is obvious that Jones is hoping to freshen up the team on Saturday with players who will have fewer minutes in their legs.A gamble admittedly, which comes with a large slice of jeopardy.
Still, that’s what he’s paid to do - for his sake, and ours, I hope he is making the right call.4 -
Post Sheff Wed ‘there all shit, drop em, change the team’
pre Ipswich ‘yeah but NOT THAT TEAM’18 -
Look a right chump then if we don't get a result Saturday.ct_addick said:Obviously NJ looking for the result Saturday….can see us getting tonked here by 3 or 4…strange lineup0 -
Dreadful line up. We are only 3 goals better than Oxford. That will be gone tonight. Playing for a draw is not the way. We look defeated with that line up.1
-
Caught them on the counter a few times last time so I guess that’s the plan with TC/Kelman.
Surprised no Carey only because he tore them apart second half at Portman Road. However, he’s due a spell on the bench.Left side of Macca/Doc and Bell is going to be interesting. Bell loves to play football (arguably to a fault) and that will undoubtedly lead to a few ropey moments.1 -
He's a proper fucking maverick this Nathan Jones fella. You have to smile!

Fuck resting players. We have a 3 game season and every game is a chance to stay up. 3 cup finals.
They have got 1 and a half weeks to give everything to stay up. Play your best team for each game.
