I can’t work him out. Overall so far I think he’s looked pretty solid and tries to be positive with the ball. He wasn’t great second half last night but who was?
My brain is a bit of a haze with regards to the second half, as Fevrier was very ineffective as well
But did that effect both of them, and our shape, along with Campbell going off?
I feel it meant Ipswich could press us easier, meaning that Fevrier didn't have the space to run into himself, so wasn't worrying their Full-Back like he had been in the First Half, and as a result Sichenje then was less effective as he too had less space, and less of an outlet.
The Campbell sub was the domino effect... We largely coped replacing Bell with Chambers
Yeah I think that’s a good point re TC going off. We lost any balance and flexibility in being able to attack via either flank and became overly dependent on Fevrier or lumping it to Dykes who had no support.

Not a huge fan so far. Seems to invite cards from the ref the way he plays.

And yet he’s only got 1

I think what you've said elsewhere, about Carey being the ideal Campbell replacement if we'd changed it for anyone - But then he's been so far off the boil himself of late

Got a bit of Richard Rufus about him. I’d be happy with him and Jones as a central pairing in a back 4. Can’t say that with any of the other centre backs.
He's not close to being as good as Rufus

Plays on the edge - expect him to get plenty of cards.

Plenty of yellows and reds prior to joining us.

He's really good, as others have said he faded second half yesterday but considering his playing time not surprising.

Looking forward to seeing him become a regular next season after a full pre-season.

This is a typical Charlton reaction, sign a new player and he is the greatest thing since sliced bread, based on about 3 games, six months down the line he’s considered rubbish and everybody’s scape goat, think I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve seen a bit more of him.

I did greatly appreciate Jones (or someone from the bench) yelling "NO FOUL!" every time he went near the ball.

Perhaps he should have been shouting that at Gillesphey.

Agree on paper. I’ve wondered though if the back 3 is why we’ve seen the best out of Jones L since Jones N arrived… there’s a small part of me that wonders whether he might not look quite as imperious in a 2 🤷‍♂️.. probably over thinking that though !

I like him, potential to be a cult hero.

Couldn’t help but laugh first half when we had a free kick and he just randomly booted it about a thousand yards crossfield for no apparent reason:-)

how would a centre half pairing of Sichenje and Naby  RCB and LCB fair?

I dunno, but @Leuth wouldn't know where to put himself :)

0 goals conceded and the two best ball-playing CBs in the league is how they'd get on.

Didn’t say he was. Early days but his recovery and athleticism remind me of him. Long way to go but he seems to have the tools.

Just the thought of it has probably required @leuth to reach for the tissue box. Imagine them with Coventry in front of them though, Ooooh what a thought, mmmmm, yes, delightful.

No sign of him in training videos or referred to by NJ as an injured player that is returning.

    Anybody know more?

He was injured at the end of the season I think which is why he missed the Swansea game

Yes, was aware of his injury 30 mins into the Hull game. I was wondering if he's had a break down since early pics from Sparrows Lane.

Came in the middle of what was effectively pre season and then had to play more minutes than we planned, hopefully we're just being cautious now

That’s good. Can’t be anything too serious in that case, presumably we just didn’t want to risk him in a full contact match with Maribor.

Not sure about that, Mbick has also travelled and in previous seasons we've taken Aneke. I think it's partly the bonding and the fact that all the physios etc. are out there

He fucked his thigh up and had to okay on iirc. Looked pretty bad but would have expected him back playing now or soon

He very obviously did his hamstring and was told he needed to play on.

It was a woeful managerial decision, and when that was pointed out on here after the game, posters defended it saying it was only cramp.
