Players who have their first name or a nickname on their shirt, like they are some kind of star/ personality who we are supposed to know just from the name Jaden.

Scoring after 43-seconds and your first thought on 44-seconds is that they’re deffo gonna equalise before half time and then score a late(ish) 2nd half winner….
  • I haven't renewed my season ticket yet as I wanted to leave it until Championship status is confirmed.

That way Charlton Athletic will know in no uncertain terms that I'm not a mug to be trifled with and be left in no doubt how important this is.

The trouble is in reality, I'm one of the mugs who'll buy one come what May - or April 28th in this case - and they'll know that I'm just an 'all mouth and trousers' wimp. Yes, I know I could leave it one more game, but I don't like to leave it too long in case something goes wrong and needs sorting out.

a real fan will wait and pay the greater amount later in the year, the early bird buyers just don't care enough to help fund transfers by putting a bit extra in to the club's coffers

The drummer continuing to drum whilst Graham Stuart was being interviewed. It's already hard enough hearing anything with our PA system.

People who dump all their luggage or their friend on a table and then join the queue for coffee - behind me - so they get the last remaining seat.

People who talk on their phone on a ‘quiet’ train carriage.
What bit of quiet don’t they get?

Disappointed that a Charlton fan can get annoyed by anything train related...suck it up, get your note pad out, and start logging numbers.

People who get on the ‘quiet’ carriage and faff with their luggage to find their snacks which are in a noisy paper bag. Get on the train, sit the fuck down, and be quiet. Or don’t book your seat on a quiet carriage.

Key pad tones on quiet trains. Or any trains. Anywhere at all, frankly. What's the point except to irritate me to the point of dunking it in your tea.

See also the bloody quack noise the Tesla over the road makes when they lock it. In return I'm going to try and set my car to shout the C word when I lock mine.

Curry pastes or sauces jars. Whenever I get one due to laziness and ease for a quickish meal I try to go for something with a bit of spice. They have these labels with a chilli sign stating it's hot on spice with a sweetness to it. Which is what I'm after but they're never spicy. Got a Madras one tonight which I do like out of a curry house but again no heat to it. Either my palate is really messed up or do they just make sauces in the supermarkets that are made for British people who's palates are still finding butter chicken a bit spicy, as if we're back in the early 1970s. I don't want something to blow my head off but something with a bit of heat would be nice and these chilli symbols suggesting hot is just to me rubbish.

    This was my latest one..

The coverage on Charlton TV yesterday. The amount of play that was missed due to replays of minor chances, or just cutaway shots of the managers was really irritating.

Add to that the pictures disappearing during the POTY presentations, only to be replaced with a long shot of the wrong part of the pitch and no commentary, that just about put the tin hat on it.

I realise all this may be beyond the club's remit, now Sky are so involved, but whoever is to blame needs a rocket up their arse...

This has been an ongoing theme.
I, and a few others, moaned about it on the match thread yesterday. Yesterday’s game was particularly bad - the producer tried to squeeze a replay or an alternative shot of someone or something at every opportunity, it was ludicrous. The only game I think was worse was the first game of the season where they kept cutting to extended shots of whichever random raffle winner was Watford’s manager that week. Not only was it irritating from a viewer’s perspective, it also seemed a bit obsessive - I’m still not sure why they were so fascinated by him?

Anyway, I don’t know how this issue gets solved. I do always try to remember that it’s probably not as easy as we think to keep the coverage on the action and keep it “interesting”. (Personally, I’d prefer if they didn’t do any shots of managers/the crowd/whichever player was involved a minute ago etc, because the game itself is the thing I find interesting, but maybe I’m in the minority?) The trouble is, it seems increasingly common for a replay or ‘focus’ shot to be broadcast when there is something interesting happening in the game (rather than a break in play), and it often seems like the producer really should realise that. Are producers under pressure to mix it up a bit? Would coverage be less interesting if it was generally just the wide shot from on high, with only occasional changes of angle for goal kicks, substitutions, celebrations and the like? I don’t know.
I’m sure it’s not the club’s fault because I guess they have to use the pictures they’re given, so presumably, Sky is to blame? But what are the explanations for it? Is it over exuberance from the producer? Is it bad luck with timing? Is it poor production?  Is it a directive from above to ‘mix it up a bit’?
Also, how can we let them know? Do the club know people find it irritating? Should the club raise it with Sky? Will Sky care?
    Who knows?

No doubt that the coverage has got worse since Sky took over!
No more Scotty, Brownie, Curbs and Liz , before, during and after the match, no more cross-bar challenge and yet the price goes up!

FFS, I managed to get 2 Olivia Rodrigo tickets for my daughter and her friend in the pre-sale today but have just noticed the organisers are not allowing ticket transfers for the event. Can't say I'm overly excited about the idea of going and am sure my daughter's not over the moon that she'll have to go with me!

probably best to circulate it around the department to check that everyones happy, perhaps you should ask for a 180 degree review to monitor the feedback.
