Good morning Charlton fans, good morning everyone (in my best Richie Benaud voice)

It's my last match thread appearance of the 24/25 season, I'll be at the caravan next weekend ... and hopefully won't have to be glued to the scores on Saturday lunchtime!
Poor FA and Ali are going to be working in overdrive next weekend without either of us!

No height up top and we're unable to play through the lines. Think we're relying on set pieces.
Knibbs can play that role, he can play as a 9 as well as a 10.
All that's needed is a Jack, Queen and King and we'll have a half decent hand.
This forum can provide the drama queens  ;)

Are you spending the weekend in Gillingham?

I always look forward to your pre-match photo, not least because I'm always amazed how empty the ground is.

I have to ask. Even though the ground is empty, have you ever arrived and found someone sitting in your seat? :-)

Here’s an idea. Let’s win this game or at least draw…

It's all set up for the TV watchers to provide the updates.

Meanwhile, I'll be looking forward to almost four months off from this torture.

Can't blame an otherwise fit player for being slow. I blame the manager for picking him.
  • I'm sat at Copenhagen airport about to board a flight in 45. I'll get the first 20 mins then check in again at full time.

    Hoping for good news.

Not sure which is more stressful, being able to follow, or not being able to follow!

    Never.

Well, technically yes ... but only because my grandson goes up the stairs to the back row before me and he sits in what is my designated seat and I'm in his.

I've had the same seat as my season ticket for over 20 years (having previously been downstairs and then in M Block when the top deck first opened) but very rarely have I sat on it as my brother always sat there on the end of our family group and I sat next to my mum in the middle.

EDIT: And the reason why the ground normally looks so empty is because me and junior get up to our seats early, sometimes just as the turnstyles open. (Not today though, I guess people are staying out in the sun a bit longer)

Days like this make me glad I'm watching from home.
Already had a number of pre-match visits to the toilet, and suspect there will be a few more before KO!!

Just two more games of seeing Luke Berry on the team sheet... Just two more games...

Why Berry? If he gets the winner or equaliser well done Nathan and I’ll chuck some dosh at the Upbeats.

  • Right- Am in my seat. Got my brown trousers on with bike clips for double runny poo protection. Cacking myself. Like a cup final. Don't like Gilly in there but let's hope we can score twice - we will need to. COYR's

Bed ridden with the worst migraine I’ve had in years so couldn’t make the game. Can barely see my phone to type this so maybe it’s karmas way of levelling up us staying up today.

Either that or I’m about to get a kick in the bollocks to match the kick in the head

Lovely to see Upbeats waving the flags as the players come out.

I see it as get 9 men behind the ball & defend for a 0-0.

    1 striker.

    Go Nathan !
