Refreshing to just observe this thread from now on, rather than care about the outcome of any of the games, bar Millwall hopefully imploding of course - sorry Millwall Fan

Even if Ipswich lose 2mo, I think they will be quite comfortable against QPR.  QPR are shocking away and have nothing to play for.  It would have to be some sort of major screw up on Ipswich’s part to lose.

The 6th spot is obviously good to see go to the final game, Hull still in with a chance after y’day and Derby too.

The order of 3rd-5th in the playoffs will be interesting, particularly if Soton win 2mo.  Boro have a tough game at Wrexham, Millwall have the easiest for me.  Personally, I’ve always preferred home leg second, and our 3 promotions have come with the home leg second.  Twice we lost when it was Palace and Shrewsbury in the home leg first.  Swindon are the outlier as we were away first, but overall if I’m one of Millwall, Boro and Soton, I’d want to be finishing 3rd/4th
Sadly I think you’re right. I can’t see Ipswich dropping points against QPR. We needed to win on Friday night. Still play offs for us is still progress on last season. And if we don’t go up it’s not the end of the world. The club are still on the right path and the championship is a fantastic league.

Agree @cabbles, it's nice to sit back and observe now.

Observation from me on the chase for 6th place - if Wrexham win on the final day, Hull can still take the last playoff spot if they win their game by a bigger margin than Wrexham. Hull's forward racing back to clear off the line from Fevrier as the game ticked down may have more meaning than just preventing lanky bedlam in the Covered End. Probably won't, but could. Derby have a great chance of stealing 6th, too.

I think I want an Ipswich win tomorrow night, if they lose to Southampton, I can see a horrible situation where Millwank get a last gasp winner just as QPR bundle an equaliser in, and suddenly they go up.

Ipswich win and they're 3 points and about 20 goals better off in GD, so pretty much unassailable.

Would also then love Boro to get 3rd and Millwall have the tougher semi final against Southampton instead of Hull/Wrexham/Derby

If Soton beat Ipswich, then next Saturday 4 teams within a point of each other could get 2nd, while 3 teams within a point of each will be fighting for the last playoff spot.

Soton will be kicking themselves over the hopeless start under Still. Ditto Norwich, who are just 5 points off the playoffs after an awful start under Manning. Norwich are way better than Hull and Derby, but left themselves too much to do.

Objectively speaking you’ve had a great season.  If I were Soton, Boro or Hull/Wrexham/Derby, I would be nervous playing you.

I would put your chances of going up quite high should you end up in the playoffs.  Soton have been superb and on a great run, but they’ve racked up a lot of games in the last few months.  You could argue it might be a game too far to do two big games plus a final, so who knows.  Boro could be a dark horse.  Dark horse in that they’ve just recovered from a poor run that’s cost them the autos, but I think the pressure is off them because of it.

Based on Hull’s showing on Saturday, aside from 10 minutes in the second half, they didn’t offer much.  Wrexham I have no clue and Derby don’t give me any fear factor.

that being said, these things always through up a surprise.  Sunderland’s run last season going into them was terrible.  They were the complete antithesis of a team winning it putting a late run together

But it would mean that our quest for a perfect 46-win, 138-point season is dashed before we've even bloody started.
