It seems photographic evidence isn't enough in some instances, Kaminski was pulled sideways by the cheating sod McBurnie, who let go suddenly leaving Kaminski to overbalance and fall sideways, why do we keep disputing this...🤷‍♂️
Becuase it was not enough of a foul and some feel Kiminski madee a meal of it and should have stayed on his feet (including me).  The overall blame for that goal sits with Clarke for giving away a needless corner in the first place though.
Still have to defend the corner better, Clarke cocked up the once, if we defend  every corner like that it’s more costly.

    Vlog up

    https://youtu.be/dKgGUKvmaJA?si=3wHDMWhX5ZzDuDiN

It's not the last one yet, but I really appreciate the support on here, I know I am not everyone's cup of tea, but that's life, and I'd like to think my videos are enjoyable and I make a good account of our fanbase.

Appreciate everyone who engages with the videos and hop on, thank you, as the vlogs would just be a bit rubbish without the community input.

I may come across negative with my views, but I am just desperate for Charlton to do well.

Anyway, hope it's an enjoyable watch, and see everyone at Swansea :)
You are a top man not sure how anyone could think otherwise. Keep up with the vlogs please as I genuinely look forward to them every week.
    Thank you  :'(

I rewatched the highlights of the Leicester game earlier today and I was reminded of Clarke getting his goal chalked off because the Leicester keeper ran into his own player and went down. Kaminski should have stayed on his feet but the inconsistency with the reffing in these situations is ridiculous
    Busy day today Garry?
Very! Can't procrastinate if you've not got stuff to do

I thought he went down oddly as if something had snapped, that sucks for the bloke.

McBurnie had his shirt then let go causing Kaminski to fall. Before that he went in to hurt Thomas with no chance of winning the ball and he should have been booked for it. I am ok if there is a chance of winning the ball but you could see what he was up to.

That is like Ronnie blaming TC for every goal we concede, despite the fact that five players from each side have touched the ball since TC did/did not).

If you go back far enough, you could blame Clarke's dad for not wearing a condom when he fathered him.

It’s def not the same.  Clarke had a mare Saturday. I like him, think we should sign him,  but he had a bad game overall.

Kaminski is lightweight and not good enough long term.

In truth I think Kaminski has turned out to be a massive disappointment considering his experience and reported wage, I accept the wage is on the club not him, but surely for that money we would have expected better.

Totally agreed. Clarke had multiple errors (including nearly doing this twice, but I think Kaminski was able to get to the second one) and has generally been poor overall for a while. He has a habit of getting us under pressure with loose passes, loose headers etc.

Obviously he's not 100% at fault for the goal, but if you give away a completely needless corner under little to no pressure then you take a hefty chunk of the responsibility if a goal comes from it. On a day when almost the whole side stepped up, he personally caused two or three attacking opportunities for Hull. We've been getting punished for those and I'm just glad we didn't this time. Not to mention his customary shank wide when we'll placed (or was that Ipswich - he has so many they blend together). He had a good cut back to Doc early but otherwise was very poor.

Agreed too on Kaminski, like Clarke we're lucky we weren't punished for a few errors he committed on the day

Am I missing something about Kaminski against Hull? Apart from maybe doing a bit better for their goal whilst having his shirt tugged (reminder Coady lost Egan giving a free header) all I remember from watching the game was that he was pretty assured catching most of all other crosses into the box and actually holding on to shots not spilling them, the basics as NJ would say. He had a shocker against Pompey but not this game. Just my opinion
For me, it’s an accumulation over time, not just this one game (so maybe the wrong thread, granted).  For the highest paid player in the team (allegedly) I expect more.   I did not mean this to be a pile on and we should probably take this to the Kiminski thread

Having supported charlton since 1967 and seen perhaps 2000 matches I have worked really hard at not letting charlton adversely affect my mood.Despite all my best efforts " accept what you cant control etc"I have found myself becoming anxious in recent weeks (and i am not an anxious perzon)The relief of not having to worry about wether millwall would beat oxfotd or at least not lose to oxford has been palpable.Since saturday afternoon nothing seems to bother me.war in iran  ,gaza ,ukraine  nothing.I really wish charlton didnt mean so much to me but at least i have the summer to relax.i dont get anywhere near as het up about england .role on august for the whole nerve jangling saga to start again
I’m with you, let’s all enjoy the summer. Good (hopefully) weather, some decent signings, and championship football to look forward to next season!!

I'm with you, when we failed to beat Wednesday and or get a draw against Ipswich i was miserable. Couldnt seem to di anything to lift my mood but then suddenly we win and all is fine and manageable, even seemingly unmanageable things 😆
  • I was at The Valley on Saturday, but just watched back the whole game on Charlton TV. It's surprising how different the live experience is from analytically reviewing the game 48 hours later. I thought that when Burke came on he didn't really influence the game, but having watched, Burke's performance in the second half was immense. If only he could stay fit and build up a series of games to show his his best class.
I was also surprised how much pressure Hull were putting us under for 25 mins in the second half. Live I felt quite comfortable, even tho the score was 1-1, but they fluffed some good chances.
The subs, especially Tyreece, made all the difference, and loved the short corners between him and Fevrier.
Also a shout out for Macca, given the stick for giving away the penalty against Ipswich, he was solid and played some lovely passes down the line to Campbell.
I liked the formation in the first half, the box midfield, with Kelman as the lone striker, but in the second half we resorted to 5-4-1 , with the 4 in midfield strung across the pitch, and we never closed the Hull wide players down, luckily their delivery was pretty woeful!
Back in the Championship, renewed season ticket, and in Nathan I trust to continue our development.
    COYA!!

Yes, it is a diffrenet experience. I think Dykes generally seems to look better when you watch him in person rather than on TV.

I thought he was generally excellent and commanded his box, claimed a lot of crosses etc like you say.

But I think he was poor for the goal and my memory is there was another time he flapped and completely missed, maybe from a long throw. Luckily the Hull player fluffed his lines at an easy chance but that's exactly the kind of thing we've been punished for and has cost us points in this run in.

On our GKs, I do wonder if part of the issue is the high number of shots and crosses they have to deal with. If an opponent is endlessly shooting and putting crosses then at some point the GK is going to make a mistake.

For comparison we’re 8th for saves per match.
